Imogene Thomas, Ryan Giggs and (HARRUMPH!) LORD JUDGE'S GAGGING ORDER

This is something what made me smile. Remember, this is my blog; what makes me smile makes me want to...post.

Hilarity of the Week

Quick synopsis: retired superstar 'footballer' Ryan Giggs, winningest and most famous 'footballer' in Soccer History (if you care about that gay-assed stuff), married with children, chock-full of endorsements (think Tiger Woods without the club) gets a 'secret' 'superinjunction' against 'British newspapers and social media', now! complete with lawsuits, naming Twitter of all parties, to keep his sordid shaggilicious affair with wicked supermodel Imogene Thomas (NOT related to Helen Thomas, obviously) secret, so he can stay married (and keep that endorsement cash flowing).

That sordid affair with Imogene Thomas is mentioned in Ryan Giggs' Wiki page, so there's your 'secret' out the window, Ryan. Everyone on the planet now knows Ryan Giggs shagged Imogene Thomas.

To add even more to the hilarity, "Lord Judge" (seriously!) says it's time to Regulate the Internets...
Earlier Lord Judge – welcoming a juridical report on superinjunctions – said readers placed greater trust in the content of traditional media than those "who peddle lies" on websites.

He urged that ways be found to curtail the "misuse of modern technology", in the same way that those involved with online child pornography were pursued by the police.

"Are you really going to say that someone who has a true claim for protection perfectly well made has to be at the mercy of modern technology?" he asked.

The lawsuit lists the defendants as "Twitter Inc and persons unknown".

The "persons unknown" are described as those "responsible for the publication of information on the Twitter accounts".
I needed a laugh.

And some of that Imogene lass, but I'll settle for the laugh. ;)
