10 Principles of Classical Liberalism to which I subscribe

Jai singh | 15:19 | |
What is Classical Liberalism? NOT the 'neo-Liberalism' as we know Liberalism today; nor 'Progressivism', or anything else we find espoused by the MODERN Democratic Party, which has moved to the far-Left, approaching (and melding with) Marxism - Socialism, drawing upon 'Community Organized' moochers to form a new, properly 'progressed' and CHANGEd collectivism.
Dr. Nigel Ashford explains the 10 core principles of the classical liberal - libertarian view of society and the proper role of government:
1) Liberty as the primary political value
2) Individualism
3) Skepticism about power
4) Rule of Law
5) Civil Society
6) Spontaneous Order
7) Free Markets
8) Toleration
9) Peace
10) Limited Government

It seems to me that the Tea Partiers are classical liberals for the most part, as were the founding fathers. Not until recent history (the early part of the 20th century) did the word 'liberal' come to mean far-left-of-center and now, neo-socialist Democrats.

Barack Obama is NOT a classical liberal. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi are NOT classical liberals. Neither is/was George Bush.

Ronald Reagan? I think he was a classical liberal.

Now, would you bastards who are calling yourselves 'liberals' out there please stop, and use 'progressive', or if you are an Obama supporter, 'neo-Socialist'? or something, anything, that expresses just how far left-of-center you really are?
