Sarah Palin, to the REAL 1%'ers: "Congress, it's time to stop lining your pockets"

Jai singh | 06:00 | | | Be the first to comment!
A newly-penned essay by the one who got away, in today's USA Toady [no sic there]...
Thanks to the solid new research and recent revelations in Peter Schweizer's book Throw Them All Out and the subsequent coverage on 60 Minutes, we have concrete proof to explain how members of Congress accumulate wealth at a rate astonishingly faster than the rest of Americans and have stock portfolios that outperform even the best hedge-fund managers'. (Full disclosure: Schweizer is employed by my political action committee as a foreign policy adviser.)

From sweetheart land deals to initial public offering (IPO) stock gifts to insider trading with non-public government information, the methods of unethical wealth accumulation for our permanent political class are endless. The reaction from the Beltway establishment to the revelations concerning insider trading among members of Congress was predictable. First they denied it, then they dismissed the problem as much ado about nothing. Some said there was no need for new laws or action because the Securities and Exchange Commission could prosecute members of Congress under existing laws against insider trading.

But under current law, there is no way the SEC will ever go after a powerful congressman or senator. The SEC never has, even though insider trading prohibitions have existed since the 1930s. Here's why: Congress sets the SEC's budget, and senators approve the head of the SEC. Congress uses its power of the purse strings to threaten federal agencies that get in their way.

For example, in 2006 the FBI got a search warrant from a federal judge to comb former congressman William Jefferson office. The FBI already had evidence that Jefferson was taking bribes. Congress was furious that the FBI would dare search a fellow member's office. Members claimed the search was unconstitutional. They even threatened to cut the Justice Department's budget in retaliation. All this despite the fact that 86% of Americans supported the FBI raid. ...

Our permanent political class relies on an apathetic and uninformed public to get away with this stuff. But if there is one issue that unites Americans across the political spectrum, it's absolute disgust with the corruption of our elected leaders. Congress and the White House need to earn the American people's trust again. We the people are not going to give up until we get the sudden and relentless reform we deserve or, as the book says, "we throw them all out" in 2012.

It'd be nice to 'throw them all out', and start with a fresh lot of eventual crooks. But, I'm thinking there's no good way to be rid ourselves of our corrupt political class.

Few, if any, are worth keeping.

TEA Party Nation: "Call For A Strike of American Small Businesses Against The Movement for Global Socialism"

Jai singh | 08:44 | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Dated October 18, 2011.

My question: why so late? We've been doing this since the Immaculation*.

TPN:
“I’m on strike!” - Ellis Wyatt, from the end of the movie "Atlas Shrugged, Part 1", based on the novel by Ayn Rand

Resolved that: The Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled Senate, in alliance with a global Progressive socialist movement, have participated in what appears to be a globalist socialist agenda of redistribution of wealth, and the waging of class warfare against our constitutional republic's heritage of individual rights, free market capitalism, and indeed our Constitution itself, with the ultimate goal of collapsing the U.S. economy and globalizing us into socialism.

Resolved that: President Obama has seized what amount to dictatorial powers to bypass our Congress, and that because the Congress is controlled by a Progressive socialist Senate that will not impeach one of their kind, they have allowed this and yielded what are rightfully congressional powers to this new dictator.

Resolved that: By their agenda and actions, those in our government who swore oaths to protect and defend our Constitution have committed treason against the United States.

Resolved that: The current administration and Democrat majority in the Senate, in conjunction with Progressive socialists from all around the country, especially those from Hollywood and the left leaning news media ( Indeed, most of the news media. ) have worked in unison to advance an anti-business, an anti-free market, and an anti-capitalist ( anti-individual rights and property ownership ) agenda.

Resolved that: These same factions expect that, by carrying out a radical anti-business agenda, which includes the passage and inflicting of Obama"Care" on our nation, class warfare and redistribution of wealth, and expanding the government, while killing businesses in this country with an environment hostile to business, including excessive regulations ( the average business must now spend about $11,700 per year per employee to comply with government regulations! ), and by borrowing and wasting more money than has been spent in the entire previous existence of our republic, that they will "create jobs", when in fact all they have "created" have been government jobs that consume wealth, and don't "create" it.

Resolved that: Our President, the Democrats-Socialists, most of the media, and most of those from Hollywood, have now encouraged and supported "Occupy" demonstrations in our streets, which are now being perpetrated across the globe, and which are being populated by various marxists, socialists and even communists, and are protesting against business, private property ownership and capitalism, something I thought I'd never see in my country, in my lifetime.

I, an American small business owner, part of the class that produces the vast majority of real, wealth producing jobs in this country, hereby resolve that I will not hire a single person until this war against business and my country is stopped.

I hereby declare that my job creation potential is now ceased.

“I’m on strike!”

Yes, that's the way it's been.

Again, why so late?

Obama Now Identifies With, and Strongly Supports, the Occupy Wall Street Protests.

Jai singh | 15:40 | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Because Obama knows that's his only ticket remaining to re-election. He's miserably failed at all of his signature programs (even ObamaCare is unraveling, bit by unconstitutional, unworkable bit); his economic programs won't repair this broken economy, because with his far-Left machinations and Marxisms he's alienated the business people who employ Americans. "Who is John Galt?" you ask? Everyone who makes a difference; difference makers who decide who gets hired and who gets laid off. We are all now John Galt. And we are not relenting until this anti-American clown is completely out of power.

From Business Insider...
The White House continued its embrace of the Occupy Wall Street protests on Sunday, using the strongest terms yet to identify President Barack Obama with the growing movement.

In a call previewing Obama's upcoming bus tour through North Carolina and Virginia, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama "will continue to acknowledge the frustration that he himself shares," about Washington's laggard response to the financial crisis.

Earnest added that while on the trip, Obama will make it clear that he is fighting to make certain that the "interests of 99 percent of Americans are well represented" — the first time the White House has used the term to differentiate the vast majority of Americans from the wealthy.

Obama, who has been branded a "class warrior" by Republicans unhappy with his plans to increase taxes on the rich to pay for his jobs and deficit plans, has embraced the term.

Jeff G posts of "The Great Unraveling":

It’s here, people. Obama’s plan is to marshal this “People’s uprising” into a political attack on the engine of capitalism, using the Wall Street he’s in bed with as an attack on the capitalist system, and the “bankers” and traders as the scapegoats.

The outlines of the plan have long been clear, but sadly, those who bothered to look and to express alarm early on were dismissed as fringe cranks and unhelpful “purists” whose outlandish Visigothery would drive away “moderates” and “independents” (who, incidentally, flocked to the GOP in the wake of the TEA Party movement, giving us a 2010 electoral landslide. But we’re to bracket that. Our betters know what’s best, regardless of how many times they prove themselves astoundingly out of touch with the mood of their own base). And now the next stage is beginning: an assault on the “fat cats” and the money men, launched from different angles, with the Occupy Wall Street crowds providing the civil unrest, the social tension, and the optics, making the more outlandish demands (and including the most repugnant fellow-travelers), while Obama serves as the voice of reason and moderation, fashioning his campaign around a populist soft-socialism in which the banks and bankers and money men are required to pay “their fair share” and the “wealth disparity” is addressed — even as the evil Republicans try to “protect the rich.”

Go read the rest of that essay; it's well worth your time.

The funny thing about BHO's embracing the dirty socialists of the various 'Occupy' movements?

He IS the 1% they hate; he's been in bed with Wall Street since his campaign began. Don't let him lie to you, kids; this jug-eared pin-headed SCOAMF is NOT your friend, no matter how much he pretends to be.

Occupy Wall Street kids need proper minders and short leashes, says LeftLibProgg ' Shoq '.

Jai singh | 08:03 | | | | Be the first to comment!
This 'Shoq' 'tard isn't one to properly condense his thoughts, such as they are. A self-aggrandizing 'intellectual', he forswears to-the-point commentary for circuitous word salad, and still manages to screw that up. Speaking of the OWS movement, Shoq...

Whether it had any real chance of success or not, I felt there would be three primary outcomes. It would either peter out and die quickly, or reach a take-off point where it would be in a position to hurt of [SIC] help Obama’s re-election effort. The latter was something that I feel must happen, or such protests may never be likely to happen again. Call that hyperbole if you wish, but I believe it. This right wing has virtually no respect for people or precedent, and they won’t give total voter suppression a second thought from here on out. A second-term Obama veto is the ONLY chance we have of mitigating what is almost certainly going to be a Republican Senate. We may not have solutions to anything yet, but losing control of that body to these quite insane Republicans would be like trying to fix a hole in the hull of a sinking boat by first widening the hole.

Huh. This one is pro-Obama all the way, and during the course of reading his Tweets for a year now, I've found that he attacks as 'EmoLibs' those Progressives who question Dear Leader Barack's mettle and direction. Shoq is always trying to herd these lesser LeftLibProgg sheep back to BHO's pasture, no matter that Obama has followed his own inner drum line, and seldom does that direction mesh with even the LeftLibProggs' thinking.

None of that matters to Shoq. He's an active Obama recruiter and head-knocker 'for the cause'.

So, Shoq, distilled:

'You fucking moronic 'Occupy" imbeciles better listen to the likes of Rep. John Lewis, a properly vetted Democrat who is and always will be your better, and get back in line fast! If you even look like you're going to damage Barack Obama's chances at re-election with your 'Impeach Obama' crap or calling attention to his Wall Street favors, I'll come down on you like a wet and pissy litterbox-deprived kitty!'.

Good luck getting these quarter-wits to get in line. Maybe if you repeat yourself six or eight times?

Bad news for the SCOAMF: "Opposition to Obama grows — strongly "

Jai singh | 08:02 | | | Be the first to comment!
The outlook for Barack Obama's chances for a re-election in 2012 continues to worsen...

Four in 10 Americans “strongly” disapprove of how President Obama is handling the job of president in the new Washington Post-ABC News poll, the highest that number has risen during his time in office and a sign of the hardening opposition to him as he seeks a second term.

Yeah.

Big man, pig man, ha ha charade you are.

With BHO out in 2012, look for improvements in every financial market, as John Galt emerges from seclusion.

We just need to get rid of the SCOAMF, is all.

Three Doors for Occupy Wall Street Protesters: Choose Wisely

Jai singh | 05:58 | | | Be the first to comment!
Hey, Hey, you Occupy Wall Street peoples, there's already a grassroots movement ticking that wants essentially the same things you want, but we want to get there without taking the door the far-Left is pointing to.

Here's an open letter written to speak to these (seemingly stupid) kids (well, when you follow a bunch of provocateurs onto a bridge, smack dab into a police arrest, what else can you call 'em?) that explains the paths you have in front of you.

Door #1: Far-Left, the Road to Serfdom, to Communism (the path that Modern Democrats are taking;

Door #2: Anarchy (the 'Road Warrior' option); and

Door #3: The Fix or Rebuild our Republic' option (because the Left has so damaged the original Constitution, it might be necessary to rebuild it after they've been soundly defeated).

The entire establishment political class is corrupt. And it has declared open war against those Americans still left who believe in fiscal responsibility and a constitutional check on federal powers. Both the establishment Republicans and the Democrats (and their ancillary and parasitic attendants in the media and the inside-the-beltway political machinery) have shown themselves immediately willing to scapegoat the one anti-big government faction willing to insist on making the difficult choices necessary to save the country from the bloated, cynical, complacent pig class who presumes to run it in our name — though never in the way we wish. And that’s because party doesn’t really matter any longer, as I’ve been saying for years now.

From that 'open letter' referenced above...
Good people occupying Wall Street, and those beginning to Occupy other locations in other cities, do not let yourselves be tricked into throwing out one bunch of tyrants in favor of another, for the other is no less tyrannical than the first. Those of us in the Tea Party movement understand your frustration with the current state of affairs in our Nation's Capital. We will be the first to agree when it is said that the type and amount of influence special interests, including those perpetrated by big business is entirely out of hand and unacceptable. Be cautious, however in your acceptance of leadership who would simply use your movement to exert their own flavor of special interest in the halls of government, for they are the same beast in a different coat. ...

We are at a pivotal point in our evolution, and there are two or three courses we can take. One is down the road being followed by the progressive left toward communism and central planning. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need as Carl Marx put it. This sounds good on paper, it sounds very altruistic. The problem is that it fails to take human nature into account, and in the end, can only be imposed at the point of a gun. There will always be those who are a little more equal than others, and who will, to maintain their more equal-ness, oppress the rest.

The next possible course is Anarchy, complete chaos, and while this may have a certain swashbuckling appeal, I would urge the investigation of Somalia to see the results of that form of non-government. It is the best example we have in the world today. People are starving in the streets and the strongest among the people make the rules with violence and terror.

The third option, perhaps the most difficult, and the one requiring the most courage, it to repair or re-create our representative republic. That is the aim of the Tea Party. We submit that humans are basically good in their nature when guided in their spirit by a set of principals the most notable of which is, treat others as you would wish to be treated, and love your neighbor as yourself. We believe that all people are created equal and have the right to live free, own private property, be secure in their person, papers and property, have the right to defend themselves and the right to equal opportunity, have the right to fail miserably, and pick themselves up without being bailed out by taking from others. We believe in the right of all people to live as they wish, so long as their living does not infringe on the rights of others. We believe in the right of all people to worship as they choose wherever they choose, or to not worship at all if that is their choice. We believe in sound currency, free from manipulation. We believe in clean air, water, and a prosperous economy, and that these things are not mutually exclusive. We believe in the freedom of speech for everyone, not just the popular, and we believe in a free press. We believe in honesty and integrity and we believe emphatically that with these rights comes responsibility. We believe that with freedom comes the necessity to be responsible for one's own affairs. We believe in taking responsibility for our government as well, that only an informed and reasoned electorate can effectively govern themselves, therefore it is the duty of the citizenry to inform themselves, to discuss and debate among themselves, freely and civilly, the issues of the day.

We believe in caring for our elderly and our children. We believe in caring for those who, through no fault of their own, cannot care for themselves. We believe in the right of States to govern themselves, that local government is better and more responsive that state government, and state government is better and more responsive than Federal government, and the best government is that which governs least.

So I applaud your plumb, those of you who are gathered in the cause of freedom, but I caution you to beware of your bedfellows. I implore you to take a little time. Study our founding documents. Read the Declaration of Independence, Read the Constitution, Spend some time with the Federalist Papers. Read Bastiat's The Law. You might be surprised to find how much you have in common with those early patriots who threw the British East India Tea Company's tea into the Boston Harbor, because the Government had granted a big corporation a monopoly to sell tea in America.

While you work out your principals, and you are wise to do so, please remind yourselves why this country came into being. We have wandered far and wide from those principals for which our early citizens fought and died. Before we fight and die again in the cause of freedom, lets us take just a moment, spare a modicum of effort, and define for ourselves what we want that freedom to look like.

I can see the TEA Party joining the Occupy folk, but never if Unions and the far-Left manage to heist it in their favored direction; a direction that doesn't include our original founder's basic tenets, and freedoms that we've enjoyed.

If you choose to involve those sorts, as it seems some of you have, then Katy bar that first door, and we'll meet in the middle.

Good News Friday: Obama might suffer a 'Landslide'; another al-Qaeda assumes room temperature.

Jai singh | 06:26 | | | Be the first to comment!

It's a significant disparity if you compare excitement and enthusiasm that Democrats had for Obama in 2008, where he was near messianic, to now where he actually has a record and he's rather mortal. There will be none of that enthusiasm again, it's almost impossible. It had a lot to do in 2008 with the fact that he was almost entirely unknown and was extremely eloquent and was lightning in a bottle. That is never going to happen again. He's got a record now and it's a bad one. So there is no way that you can ever get near that.

But I think even worse for Obama than the decline in the intensity of support among Democrats--because after all, where they are going to go--on election day they'll be out there for him--is the number on independents. The number on independents is staggeringly bad. 31% approval of independents.

Obama won the election of 2008 on the basis of independents, and the first hint of trouble came in the off-year elections at end of 2009 in Virginia and New Jersey, where independents in states that had gone Obama went 2-1 against Obama. Then in the Senate race for the so-called Kennedy seat in January of 2010 the independents went 3 to 1 against Democrats. And I think if Obama cannot rise from the 31% approval he has among independents he is going to suffer a landslide.

Also, Al-Qaida cleric Anwar al-Awlaki is now sand-flea bait.

This American-born radical Muslim cleric was linked to 9/11 and the Fort Hood shootings. He's spent his entire miserable life trying to destabilize the U.S.

Sort of like those dirty socialists now swarming around Wall Street, I suppose.

GM to reopen the SATURN plant in Spring Hill. Because they were raped.

Jai singh | 20:28 | | | | Be the first to comment!
Not to build the wildly unsuccessful Saturn vehicle of course, but something will begin to roll off the assembly lines, if the Union signs the agreement agreed to by negotiators in Detroit. And they will, because it's sweet. GM caved, big-time.

The UAW and GM just signed a new labor contract. The UAW, with new president Bob King, bent GM over a convenient table and raped the greasy little bitch for all’s it’s worth; securing a $5K signing bonus for each employee re-hired, no movement towards easing the pension burden, and no sharing of the health care costs. And re-opening the ill-fated Saturn plant in Spring Hill (there’s feints within feints there; the Unions need a foothold in a right-to-work State, to push for unions with card check &c. at Nissan and Volkswagen). Absolutely a full win for the UAW, and unions.

It was expected, GM being on the government dole for so long, there was no maneuvering or bargaining positions to exploit. How could GM cross Obama’s Army, since Obama still has GM by the short hairs ?

Officials at G.M. and the union declined to discuss specific terms of the deal. But people briefed on the negotiations said that workers would receive a signing bonus of $5,000 in lieu of cost-of-living wage increases. Entry-level workers, who are paid about $14 an hour, are expected to receive an increase of $2 to $3 an hour.

The company has also agreed to reopen its idled assembly plant in Spring Hill, Tenn., the people said.

The U.A.W.’s tentative, four-year agreement with G.M., announced late Friday, also opens the door for the automaker to bring back laid-off workers and move jobs back into the United States.

I'm afraid the plant, if it reopens at all, will be short-term, and GM is still not viable long-term. GM did not get any concessions from the Union on pensions or the sharing of health care costs. How could they demand any concessions? They had been bailed out by Obama, subsidized by taxpayers; by you and me and every other sucker paying for the Obama- GM bailout. How could GM demand that reasonable cuts in pensions and the sharing of health care costs be structured in a sensible contract and agreed to by Union thugs, who are Obama's Army? There's no way GM was negotiating from a position of strength. Instead, the company's fate is sealed. It's just a matter of time.

Bob King wasted no time; he started slobbering all over Obama right away...

Mr. King took the unusual step of acknowledging the Obama administration’s support of the industry in his statement: “None of this would have been possible without the efforts of President Obama, who invested federal funds to help turn the company around, protect the auto supplier base and keep good-paying jobs in America.”

Bad, bad news for GM. When the Unions win as big as they've won, businesses lose, and eventually will need bailing out again by Papa DocBama.

Next time, when it comes to GM needing a bailout, let's hope that it's past Obama's time in office, and there isn't a bailout to be had. Let GM restructure by bankruptcy as should have happened already; break the unions, recalibrate the plants for profitability. Basically, start from scratch.

Now, sell the American people on GM, after this debacle. Let's see how many people vote with their pocketbooks. Won't be me buying a GM product, at least not a new one.

I'll start a clock. Let's see how long this weak, kneecapped donkey will run.

Obama's "I've Got a SCREAM!" 'Jobs' Speech

Jai singh | 06:45 | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!

Full speech available here. My 'live-blogging' 'analysis' here.

Trending at memeorandum, "FACT CHECK: Obama's jobs plan paid for? Seems not.", from the Associated Press...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's promise Thursday that everything in his jobs plan will be paid for rests on highly iffy propositions.

It will only be paid for if a committee he can't control does his bidding, if Congress puts that into law and if leaders in the future - the ones who will feel the fiscal pinch of his proposals - don't roll it back.

BHO's claims:

1)"Everything in this bill will be paid for. Everything." Not true at all...

Essentially, the jobs plan is an IOU from a president and lawmakers who may not even be in office down the road when the bills come due. Today's Congress cannot bind a later one for future spending. A future Congress could simply reverse it.

Currently, roughly all federal taxes and other revenues are consumed in spending on various federal benefit programs, including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, veterans' benefits, food stamps, farm subsidies and other social-assistance programs and payments on the national debt. Pretty much everything else is done on credit with borrowed money.

So there is no guarantee that programs that clearly will increase annual deficits in the near term will be paid for in the long term.

In other words, everything is NOT paid for with current revenue. We'll have to beg, borrow or steal it from China, future generations or Taxed Enough Already US workers and businessmen and women...who, mind you, are expected to create jobs for this army of ever-increasingly hostile and leftward-tilting 'workers'. Why should we?

2)"Everything in here is the kind of proposal that's been supported by both Democrats and Republicans, including many who sit here tonight." Really, BHO?

Obama's proposed cut in the Social Security payroll tax does seem likely to garner significant GOP support. But Obama proposes paying for the plan in part with tax increases that have already generated stiff Republican opposition.

For instance, Obama makes a pitch anew to end Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, which he has defined as couples earning over $250,000 a year or individuals over $200,000 a year. Republicans have adamantly blocked what they view as new taxes.
What about TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY do you not understand, Mr. Prezzidint ?

3)"It will not add to the deficit." Hardee-hardy-har-har! But of course it will add to the deficit. Anything you do adds to the deficit. You are a deficit-driving golfing machine, Mr. el Presidente!!

It's hard to see how the program would not raise the deficit over the next year or two because most of the envisioned spending cuts and tax increases are designed to come later rather than now, when they could jeopardize the fragile recovery. Deficits are calculated for individual years. The accumulation of years of deficit spending has produced a national debt headed toward $15 trillion. Perhaps Obama meant to say that, in the long run, his hoped-for programs would not further increase the national debt, not annual deficits.

How about both? He can't lift a little finger, it seems, without spending monies he doesn't have or deserve.

4)"The American Jobs Act answers the urgent need to create jobs right away." More importantly to you, it answers your need to get re-elected. And to give sop to the Unions, your 'army' of street thugs. Oh, and...

Not all of the president's major proposals are likely to yield quick job growth if adopted. One is to set up a national infrastructure bank to raise private capital for roads, rail, bridges, airports and waterways. Even supporters of such a bank doubt it could have much impact on jobs in the next two years because it takes time to set up. The idea is likely to run into opposition from some Republicans who say such a bank would give the federal government too much power. They'd rather divide money among existing state infrastructure banks.

That, and to ensure re-election, and to feed the goons. Gotta keep the goons happy.

I predict a strong TEA Party response to this, after it's dissected by good men and women in our elected Congress. I'll bet there will be much weeping, wailing and gnashing of teefs by the LeftLibProggs who might've heard BHO's line about cutting some 'sacred cow' social programs. Right on cue, from 'Wesley Mooch'...

Though the plan would be paid for by more deficit reduction, he left those vital details until later. It was gratifying to hear him call for higher taxes on corporations and the wealthy, but his warning of cuts to Medicare and Medicaid — lifelines to the most vulnerable — raised concerns about trading one important program for another.

There will be jobs created, Mr. Obama. Beginning after November 2012, after your defeat, things will start to improve.

Trust me on this.

Obama's Speech

Jai singh | 15:27 | | | | Be the first to comment!
...to Solyndra. Dirty Socialist Date 5/26/2010.

Well, OOPS! UNEXPECTEDLY Solyndra went tits-up, with $535 Billion of taxpayer money.

We also have the Department of Energy's Inspector General and the FBI crawling all over the place.

This Solyndra speech, chock-full of HOPE and CHANGE and GREEN and, as it turns out, EPIC FAIL.

1. So we recognized that we've got to go back to basics. We've got to go back to making things. We've got to go back to exports. We've got to go back to innovation. And we recognized that there was only so much government could do. The true engine of economic growth will always be companies like Solyndra, will always be America's businesses. But that doesn't mean the government can just sit on the sidelines. Government still has the responsibility to help create the conditions in which students can gain an education so they can work at Solyndra, and entrepreneurs can get financing so they can start a company, and new industries can take hold. [AND give the Company $535 Billion so the CEO &c. can donate substantial GREEN to DEMOCRAT INTERESTS -ed.]

2. That's not all. You're also proving something more. Every day that you build this expanded facility, as you fill orders for solar panels to ship around the world, you're demonstrating that the promise of clean energy isn't just an article of faith -- not anymore. It's not some abstract possibility for science fiction movies or a distant future -- 10 years down the road or 20 years down the road. It's happening right now. The future is here. We're poised to transform the ways we power our homes and our cars and our businesses. And we're poised to lead our competitors in the development of new technologies and products and businesses. And we are poised to generate countless new jobs, good-paying middle-class jobs, right here in the United States of America.

Another BHO EPIC FAIL speech tonight. I don't expect much more than the same-ole tripe, and wanting to spend more money to improve his re-election chances (which, now, are looking rather grim).

More importantly, immediately following the speech (and in some cases, WHAT SPEECH?) I'll be cracking a beer and pulling for the Saints.

Oh, one more time...

Sarah Palin's Iowa Speech discomfits both Republicans and Democrats

Jai singh | 18:45 | | | | Be the first to comment!
Which is just as it should be (Sarah Palin's complete speech, in video, at the link).

After all, "The entire establishment political class is corrupt." Neither Party wants to hear what Sarah Palin has to say. Witness both the expected jeers from the frothing Left, and the bemusement from Karl Rove, representing the 'establishment' Republican Party on the 'right'.

This image includes a photo of Sarah Palin's bus parked outside Indianola this weekend. Look closely and see the flaming Obama logo setting in the background, fittingly enough.

An apt analogy, I think, of what's occurring; Barack Obama is spectacularly flaming out, a One-Term and Done President who's accomplished Zero in his economic endeavors, instead inflicting tremendous damage to our Republic with his embrace of nouveau Socialism. Sarah Palin, carrying the hope of a brighter future, planting herself firmly in the foreground of American electoral politics.

But even if Sarah Palin doesn't run in 2012, her forthright ideology represents that of a huge swath of Americans, good people, and we do appreciate Sarah's efforts and her tireless support of what is the correct ideology, an ideology that we need to adapt to save this Republic. No, it's not Karl Rove's or Jon Huntsman's or Mitt Romney's, and maybe not even Rick Perry's (I'm still looking him over). Sarah Palin represents the shake-up that our corrupt political class needs.

No matter who is the eventual nominee for Team R in 2010, it's looking like BHO has flamed out.

A pity, that, don't you think?

Barack Obama suffers "...a historical rebuff of a sitting president by Congressional leadership"

Jai singh | 05:57 | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Mike Florio, a lowly NFL analyst, gets it right...

In what is being described as a historical rebuff of a sitting president by Congressional leadership, Barack Obama has been blocked by House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio; pictured) from addressing a joint session of the nation’s legislative body on September 7, at which time a presidential debate will be conducted in California. And so the President has caved, moving the speech to Thursday, September 8.

And that sets up a direct conflict with the commencement of the 2011 NFL regular season, with the Saints facing the Packers at Lambeau Field that same night.

It remains to be seen whether NBC will cover the speech in lieu of the game, which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. ET. If ABC, CBS, and FOX all choose to broadcast the address and NBC opts to send any interested members of its audience to MSNBC and/or CNBC, the ratings for the NFL opener could go through the roof.

So, the Saints will get a chance to embarrass not only the reigning NFL champion Packers in front of an unexpectedly monster audience; they can embarrass Barack Obama in the ratings.

BHO does deserve it, his being a SCOAMF and all.

The Federal Government's Popularity is Now Rated at Lowest Level EVER.

Jai singh | 06:06 | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
How popular is the Federal Government right now? Lowest ratings ever recorded.

The only people who love government now are likely to be simple government employees; and of course government-loving LeftLibProggs; and of course those who live life large whilst suckling at government's teat. Democrats love promising more government teat to moochers in return for their votes, so you know they want to keep United Federal Sow well-fed and funded with Other People's Money.

But, for most good people, our mammoth Federal government has earned the lowest ratings ever recorded, even lower than when it was considered 'evil' under George Bush. Even the enlightened O!bumbling O!ne now sitting in the White House (a temporary home to him, thank goodness) can't make these ratings smell any better...

It turns out the Federal Government is now less popular than any polled industry. Including Bankers, Lawyers, and Oil men.

It didn’t used to be that way. In 2003, the first year the government was added to the poll, it had a net +6 favorable rating, 41/35. A 41/35 rating this year would have put the government 12th of the 24 industries (+ government for 25 total) that were polled.

But as it turns out, the government hasn’t kept that rating. By 2004 the government was in the negative, and by 2008, the last year of the George W Bush administration, the government was running at a -42 net, 18/60. That number rebounded in 2009, after the election of Barack Obama, to a -25 net, 29/54, but has worsened again in every year since.

So now under Obama the result is slightly worse than it ever got under Bush, having dropped to a -46 rating, 17/63, which is dead last in the poll. The oil industry was slightly better off, despite the gulf and high gas prices, at a -44. Bailouts haven’t dragged banks nearly as far, as they only register a -17, while perennial pincushion lawyers only hit a -16.

Everyone who is an American should be affiliated with the TEA Party, because only the TEA Party is pushing back against the Federal government's great overbite.

The rest of you, Democrats mostly, who lurves some massive Government, are but whimpering wussies, unknowingly waiting for the inevitable collapse, after which you'll find things...not one bit to your liking.

Good luck with that!

As in, all good things come in threes.

Firstly, this NRO piece by Mark Steyn, "The Imperial Presidency", eviscerates Baracky without mercy...

Bill Clinton thought otherwise. “I got tickled by watching Governor Perry,” said the former president. “And he’s saying, ‘Oh, I’m going to Washington to make sure that the federal government stays as far away from you as possible — while I ride on Air Force One and that Marine One helicopter and go to Camp David and travel around the world and have a good time.’ I mean, this is crazy.”

This is the best argument the supposedly smartest operator in the Democratic party can muster? If Bill Clinton wants to make the increasingly and revoltingly unrepublican lifestyle of the American president a campaign issue, Governor Perry should call his bluff. If I understand correctly the justification advanced by spokesgropers for the Transport Security Administration, the reason they poke around the genitalia of three-year-old girls and make wheelchair-bound nonagenarians in the final stages of multiple sclerosis remove their diapers in public is that by doing so they have made commercial air travel the most secure environment in the United States. In that case, why can’t the president fly commercial?

You’d be surprised how many heads of state do. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands flies long haul on KLM. Don’t worry, she’s not in coach all night squeezed next to the mom with the crying baby and the party of English soccer hooligans baying moronic victory chants all night. She rides up front and has so many aides that sometimes she’ll book the entire first class cabin! By contrast, the president of the United States took his personal 747 (a transatlantic aircraft designed to hold 500 people that costs a fifth of a million dollars per hour to run) to go from Washington to a Democratic party retreat in Williamsburg, Va., 150 miles away.

Then, this moti, tweeted by David Limbaugh, linked at NRO, is sure to torment Barack Hussein Obama II.

Finally,  and in observance of BHO's college daze, there's this video by Afroman, 'Smokin' Weed' (of course, the width of this video window is "420". Of course. )

Maxine Waters or Max?

Jai singh | 06:08 | | | | | Be the first to comment!

Democrats can never be without a 'Marx that Roars'. Anthony Weiner is out, and that little jack's ass in Florida lost his election (what was the name?), so we now have a new (well, not new, just newly featured) RAAAAACIALIST! spouting inanities.

Perhaps this latest runneth-of-mouth is to divert attention away from the House Ethics Committee investigation of Ms. Waters. That investigation isn't moving fast enough; seems some Democrats want to stall the inevitable. Let's get busy and get another crook convicted, shall we?

Twitter reactions to Marxine...

" When Maxine Waters told the Tea Party to go to hell, she was simply inviting them to her district." *

"listening to maxine waters, frederica wilson, n rest of dems is like watching warner bros looney toons" *

" Make this viral tell Maxine Waters Ca# 323-757-8900 fax 323-757-9506 DC# 202-225-2201  fax 202-225-7854 where 2 go" *

" Ok tell the truth which one if you Hobbits pissed in Maxine Waters koolaid this time?

Meh. This obviously deranged person simply needs her meds. She's 72 years old, a dedicated Black Liberation Theology promoter, and likely well-represents the nest of neo-Marxists who comprise her inner-city district. They deserve.

Read this, "The Recognition of Reality", written yesterday and posted to Market Ticker dot org. You'll begin to realize that Marxine and her sorts haven't all that much time left to demand things they don't deserve.
