Whimsicality IX: Date Night, Lil' Bro?

Jai singh | 22:07 | | | Be the first to comment!
Lil' Bro's Date Night!

(Let's set this up...when Cowboy Blob's 'Lil' Bro' wins his caption contest, Cowboy posts Lil' Bro's picture in the sidebar with the caption "Ladies! He's Single"!. So, if by some twist of fate, that message got out to the many lonely ladies in North Korea, and whimsicality happens, they all show up in Cowboy's front yard which quickly fills with the admiring hopefuls; and Lil' Bro's date night would be...interesting, to say the least...    )

Synergy - Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra

Larry Fast's first release, from 1975. Cutting-edge synthesizer work; it still sounds pretty damned good.

The Synergy project

Fast recorded a series of pioneering synthesizer music albums under the project name Synergy. Some of this work was used as the basis for music in Commodore 64 and Amiga computer games, notably Rob Hubbard's score for the C64 version of Zoids, which was an unofficial cover of Synergy's Ancestors from the 1981 album Audion.

The first album in the series, Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra, was released as an LP in 1975. Like the following albums, it exclusively makes use of electronic instruments, mainly synthesizers. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Fast released eight more Synergy LPs on Passport Records, all of which were later re-released on CDs. The 1998 re-release of Semi-Conductor, a compilation album originally released in 1984, was a remastered version of the original, and contained ten additional tracks. The eleventh album in the series, Reconstructed Artifacts, was released in 2003, and contained completely new performances of select compositions from the previous albums, using modern digital synthesizers, as well as the new digital recording technologies.

Currently Fast is slowly developing a new Synergy album, which is likely to come out in either 2011 or 2012. This will be his first studio album consisting of new material in over twenty years. According to Fast's website, it will heavily make use of software synthesizers (one of which is, fittingly, Sample Logic's Synergy synthesizer) rather than the hardware equipment he has been using so far. He has amassed a lot of new thematic material and plans to rework some old, as yet unreleased pieces for the new album as well.

On Synergy's first and second album, the following statement appears: "This album was created with absolutely no guitars." This is an apparent counter-reference to repeated statements appearing on albums by the rock group Queen that "This album was created with absolutely no synthesizers."

The albums by Synergy are:

1975: Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra #66 Billboard 200 (18 weeks)

Larry Fast's blog (not updated since 2009) featured this nice animated gif.

Heh. I didn't know blogger supported those. Didn't work a few years ago, as I recall; I had to stash the anis in Photobucket.

Sunday Funnies: Marxine, M'Chelle and Barack, Oh My!

~*~

!~~*~~!

Plouffe: Mrs. Obama, I need to speak with you for a minute.

(Silence)

Plouffe: Mrs. Obama?

Michelle: Can’t you see I’m trying to get the meat out of the claw? It’s very tricky. I need to concentrate.

Plouffe:
Mrs. Obama, I’m afraid I have some bad news for you . . .

Michelle: Oh no, another masseuse quit?

Plouffe: No, I’m afraid you’re going to have to cut the vacation short and leave a day earlier than planned.

Michelle: Oh, well I have some bad news for you: I’m staying. Now scram.

Plouffe: Mrs. Obama, the president has to leave a day early to deal with the hurricane, and we’d like you to come with him.

Michelle: You think I’m taking orders from a little worn like you? You look skinny. Why don’t you go get something to eat, worm? If he wants to go, rev up his jet and get him out of here. Now let me finish my lobster.

Plouffe:
Mrs. Obama, I’m really sorry, but we’re worried about the symbolism of the first lady remaining on a luxurious vacation while the East Coast is getting destroyed by a hurricane.

Michelle: Symbolism? How about the symbolism of me smacking you over the head with seashell?

Plouffe: Now Mrs. Obama, I don’t think that’s necessary.

Michelle: I’ll show you what’s necessary.

(She throws a lobster tail at him)

Plouffe:
This isn’t working. (Calling out) Mr. President? Mr. President? You need to speak with Mrs. Obama.

Obama: (from far away): I’m busy.

Plouffe: Busy with what?

(Silence)

Obama: I’m on the phone.

Plouffe: Who are you on the phone with?

(Silence)

Obama: I’m in the bathroom.

Plouffe: Mr. President, can you come over here?

Obama: I’m . . . I’m on the phone in the bathroom.

Plouffe: Mr. President!

Obama:
Okay, I’m coming.

(Obama enters the room)

Michelle: Your lackey here is risking his life by telling me I’m going home with you one day early. Set him straight.

Obama: Michelle, I’ve got to get back to Washington to deal with the hurricane, and you -

Michelle:
What are you going to do about the hurricane, fix people’s houses? You don’t which end of a hammer of to hold.

Obama: Now Michelle, that’s not fair.

Michelle:
Last time you tried to hang a picture you busted open your finger and spent a whole week looking at it to see if it was infected. You can’t use a teleprompter to fix a house, Barack.

Plouffe:
(under his breath): And people think it’s the job that’s giving him gray hairs.

Michelle:
What’s that, lackey? You’re like Ed McMahon, always laughing at everything Johnny Carson over here says. Well I do what I want. And I’ve decided I’m staying until Tuesday.

Plouffe:
Oh God.

Obama:
Darling . . .

Michelle:
Don’t you darling me. I’m sure Ed McMahon will fix everything for you. Now if the hurricane comes through here Sunday when will the stores be open?

Reggie Love:
By Monday if the damage isn’t too bad.

Obama: Reggie cut it out! She’s not staying.

Michelle:
What did you say?

Obama: I mean, sweet flower, please come home with your Barry.

Michelle: Screw you, Herbert Hoover.
(Go read the EXCITING FINISH~! )

Oh, and speaking of M'Chelle, Theo's Caption Contest...

Appearing in Public When You Are Dead

...is fine, as long as you don't get your picture taken.

Original caption, appearing at Cowboy Blob's latest photo caption contest...

I had nuttin' for it, until blogger BobG (blogging from somewhere Near the Salty City) posted that excellent caption you see up there. Norman Bates would approve, I'm sure. I riffed off of BobG's caption, but BobG did all the heavy lifting. And has this one won, I'll warrant.

And please, Lady, Countess or Duchess or whatever you are, check your embalming before going out in public again!

Rule 5 Sunday: Victoria Secret's Candice Swanepoel

Jai singh | 20:24 | | | | Be the first to comment!
A beautiful South African model, Candice Swanepoel was recently voted #10 on Forbe's top-earning models list; earning $3M in 2010 - 2011. That's how it's done.

More photos of Candice below the fold...

Robert Stacy McCain's Rule 5 Sunday certainly is a fine way to start a week, isn't it?

The man's a damned genius, for inventing (and for carrying on the implementation of) that Rule.

RSM's Rule 5, last Sunday's edition

Aw, hell, one more!
She has also walked the runways for the world's top designer's including Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce and Gabbanna and Diane Von Furstenberg.

Last year, the stunning blonde has earned herself a spot at number ten on the Forbes World's Top-Earning Models list, with estimated earnings of $3 million over the past 12 months.

She won the coveted role of a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2010, following in the footsteps of international beauties such as Giselle Bundchen and Heidi Klum.

The blonde beauty is currently dating fellow model Hermann Nicoli who she has been with for five years.

She spoken about her ideal night in with her lover which she says would involve 'an evening at home relaxing, watching a movie on the couch and eating a home-cooked meal'.

The devil's in the house...

Jennifer Lopez and her "Broad Sides"

Jai singh | 05:59 | | | | 1 Comment so far
Someone left a comment on an old photoshop I created way back in 2007. Thought I'd bring it back, 4 years later, to see if it'll get any new hits up here in present time.

Jennifer Lopez's Derriere
Jennifer Lopez has a HUGE derriere. That is all.

Heh. What an exceptional ass Jennifer Lopez is sporting there. You could land a tailhooker on that one, I'll warrant.

Marilyn Monroe in Chicago: Twenty-Six Feet of Statuesque Beauty

Jai singh | 08:15 | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Heh. This will make the 'upskirt'-haters cry, won't it?

This iconic pose, never yet duplicated to my satisfaction (I'll give Kate Middleton's yellow dress blowup some credit for trying) might be the most famous upskirt shot in the short history of photography.

(Note: these two images are not the same images you'll find at this linky; they've been enhanced by me using my own post-production techniques, methods that bring out colors and enhance features as to my liking. If you're interested in exactly what I've done here, drop an email.)

Newly-wed bride Anya Nguyen and her bridesmaids look at "Forever Marilyn", a sculpture by Seward Johnson, on July 15, 2011 in Chicago, Illinois. The stainless steel and aluminum sculpture, which stands 26 feet tall and weighs 34,000 pounds, will be on display in Chicago through the spring of 2012. The sculpture was inspired by Marilyn Monroe iconic scene in the 1955 movie "Seven Year Itch". (Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images)

Recalls that Marilyn Monroe 'sand sculpture' from about a year ago...

I've had trolls complain about my Rule 5 posts, pointing out that invariably these women might well be much younger than me (Kate Upton, below the fold), or that they might be married to other men (Kate Middleton). One frequent troll even said that he didn't like women in dresses; that he didn't know any women who owned dresses; that he preferred women to wear pants. The little guy is insane, really, and likely has never known a woman (literally or biblically).

A woman who wears a dress immediately becomes classier in my never-to-be humble opinion. If yours doesn't have a dress, buy her one! (Hint: Wal-Mart is not where you want to shop for dresses! Or for women, for that matter!)

Raspberry...

Couldn't think of much else I could do with her, until I saw this Twitpic of this twittereer named...Aubrey.

So, here's Aubrey - Rasberry. Or just Ausberry, if you like. After a makeup accident. Looks like she's getting ready for a Halowe'en costume, right here in July, or is maybe confuzzled as to the 'Avatar' colorset.

Hey, wasn't much to work with, little Raspberry. But Aubrey, now, it's my pleasure.

You're welcome.

Haven't done a 'Rule 5' post in awhile. Browsing the Web Collage led me to photos of Yumi Sugimoto and Yuri Yoshida. These, chosen for their unusual...names (what right-thinking person names a daughter 'Yumi' ?).

If you are one who draws fanciful animes, here's some real thing.

Which one is Yumi, and which one is Yuri? You should know this, you know.

Imogene Thomas, Ryan Giggs and (HARRUMPH!) LORD JUDGE'S GAGGING ORDER

Jai singh | 17:59 | | | Be the first to comment!
This is something what made me smile. Remember, this is my blog; what makes me smile makes me want to...post.

Hilarity of the Week

Quick synopsis: retired superstar 'footballer' Ryan Giggs, winningest and most famous 'footballer' in Soccer History (if you care about that gay-assed stuff), married with children, chock-full of endorsements (think Tiger Woods without the club) gets a 'secret' 'superinjunction' against 'British newspapers and social media', now! complete with lawsuits, naming Twitter of all parties, to keep his sordid shaggilicious affair with wicked supermodel Imogene Thomas (NOT related to Helen Thomas, obviously) secret, so he can stay married (and keep that endorsement cash flowing).

That sordid affair with Imogene Thomas is mentioned in Ryan Giggs' Wiki page, so there's your 'secret' out the window, Ryan. Everyone on the planet now knows Ryan Giggs shagged Imogene Thomas.

To add even more to the hilarity, "Lord Judge" (seriously!) says it's time to Regulate the Internets...
Earlier Lord Judge – welcoming a juridical report on superinjunctions – said readers placed greater trust in the content of traditional media than those "who peddle lies" on websites.

He urged that ways be found to curtail the "misuse of modern technology", in the same way that those involved with online child pornography were pursued by the police.

"Are you really going to say that someone who has a true claim for protection perfectly well made has to be at the mercy of modern technology?" he asked.

The lawsuit lists the defendants as "Twitter Inc and persons unknown".

The "persons unknown" are described as those "responsible for the publication of information on the Twitter accounts".
I needed a laugh.

And some of that Imogene lass, but I'll settle for the laugh. ;)

New York Post: "Osama bin Wankin'; Whora Bora; Debbie Does Abbottabad"

Jai singh | 11:01 | | | Be the first to comment!
This is all over the 'net today, but doesn't matter; I wanted it here, with my own post-processing enhancements (multi-layered saturation, high-pass sharpening &c.) in place, of course.

I 'touched' on this just a week ago, anticipating the find of a porn stash in OBL's lair, with a pshop for Cowboy Blob.

See Jeff G's " 9 (potential) porn videos found in bin Laden bunker" for further hilarity, including a contribution from agile_dog: "The men who stare at goatse". So damned close to truth, likely.

Oh, some questions as to the 'source photo' I used last weekend, supplied by Cowboy; it's very decent and deserves a full showing here as well...

There's a story behind this CGI creation, involving a video game I've never head of. Read the comments here for details.

Oh, and You're Welcome~!

Bin Laden "Command Center" videos released. Surprisingly enough, I find evidence of...tampering!

Jai singh | 18:57 | | | Be the first to comment!
These videos, released Saturday, ostensibly show Bin Laden looking at himself, or at blank screens...
On Saturday, the White House released five video clips of bin Laden taken from the compound, most of them showing the al Qaeda leader, his beard dyed black, evidently rehearsing the video-taped speeches he sometimes distributed to his followers.

None of the videos were released with sound. A U.S. intelligence official said it had been removed because the United States did not want to transmit bin Laden's propaganda. But he said they contained the usual criticism of the United States as well as capitalism.

While several video segments showed him rehearsing, one showed an aging and gray-bearded bin Laden in a scruffy room, wrapped in a blanket and wearing a ski cap while watching videotapes of himself.
I doubted very much this was true. So, I applied my 'patented' 'scrubbed and doctored image scrubber removal and inversion' tools and uncovered a surprising surprise...that Bin Laden had developed NEW bomb-making videos, using a refurbished (but enhanced!) Commodore 64 graphics engine, with a non-goat(eed) CGI model designed to 'lure' modern-day proto-Jihadists into the burgeoning 'RAGE BOY TERRORIST!' profession.

These videos, meant for future release in various low-level Islamic sites and chatrooms, are tailored to attract the 'westernized' Jihadist who doesn't really believe all that old fuddy-duddy-speak about 72 virgins anymore, and that standard-stable goat just isn't working out so well either. So, an attractive CGI model was developed.

Here's the result of my image-scrubbing inversion work ...

For further information about this newly-hatched CGI weapon, see Cowboy Blob. He's on top of it, really.
