Wisconsin Public-Sector Unions Stay Defeated & Broken. Strong Victory! for the rest of U.S.A.!

Jai singh | 05:06 | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Freaking Union thugs and Dirty Socialists lose (yet) another one.

After spending all those Union Dues to 'buy' Wisconsin's State Legislature (just as they tried to 'buy' the Wisconsin Supreme Court), the Democrats come up looking like idiots, morons and fools, yet again!. The GOP again thwarted the Union's neo-Marxist, dirty socialistic desires.

So, LeftLibProggs, what's your game plan now? After spending all this unrecoverable time and money and spittle-flecked fury; after bringing in all the 'big guns' from around the Nation to recall the 'evil' Wisconsin legislators and, having failed that, to again assail Governor Scott Walkter (who, with his leadership and his correct tactics of dismantling the public-sector unions, actually saved jobs for teachers, AND saved taxpayer money), what's up now?

You'd think they would learn! But listen to THIS fool, crying his widdle eyes out on national TV! (h/t Darleen Click)

Go home, take freakin' baths already. Dry your eyes. Use a nice Koch kleenex!

Wednesday Roundup of What Interests Me: #Occupy THIS

Jai singh | 10:05 | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
#OccupyHolster: Today, in Wisconsin, the NRA-ILA can celebrate the new Concealed Carry law they helped enact. Dirty socialists and LeftLibProggs like MikeB302000 are crying in their Nazi-flavored soups.

#OccupyCasket: Yesterday, a homeless guy died in an Occupy tent in Oklahoma City. No cause of death has yet been determined.

#OccupyJail: Police in Richmond VA arrested 9 'Occupiers' who refused to vacate a city plaza. Later, there were bulldozers loading their tents and other debris into dump trucks, for proper disposal. S'long!

#OccupyElitists: Meghan McArdle posts on the 'suffering elitists' who make up the 'Occupy' forces. A good read, even if Meghan hates NASCAR fans...
...there are still all sorts of hidden cultural signifiers that tell us, yes, we're still in the elite, we know that Formula One is cool and NASCAR isn't (unless you're watching it ironically.)

So, what defines these #Occupy #OWS Owwies, you ask? In a nutshell, they are kids who spent way too much for their now-useless college degrees, on esoteric and unmarketable 'skills'. Mostly, they are coming from upscale families; they eschew the 'trades' and trade schools as being beneath their 'class'; they resent those who've already 'made it' to where they 'should be', getting the BMW's whilst they have to take stupid city busses and...ride bikes.

These typical Owwies don't want to work at no steenking Wal-Marts, nor do they want to do any plumbings or any changing of tires at the Firestones or the pushing of any brooms anywhere; they want to work for the Government at the very least, to 'pretend' to maintain their 'upper class' elite statuses. All that other worky-work stuff, that's work for the illegals, and for stupidish NASCAR fans. Isn't that why they (and their parents) support these 'open borders', and why they've expressed desires to keep illegals in the pipeline, so they don't have to do 'real work? Truly, physical work is work that they despise and simply won't do; that laborious stuff being beneath their level of (perceived) status.

Don't believe this is an internecine class struggle? Show me where the NASCAR contingent is amongst these Owwies. They aren't there; they are working or staying in close-knit family units; won't see many of them at these encampments.

Since the economic downturn, and with the ever-swelling population, such 'elitist' jobs and opportunities are not as easily forthcoming. So, they've taken their worthless diplomas to the streets, with predictable results: their little 'communities' are becoming nassty third-world slums sans the diseases: the crime rates are skyrocketing, with thefts, rapes, and prevalent drug usage. They are the next level to which this little Republic is aspiring, if we can't get our economic ship righted: filthy, dirty, third-world Haiti living. It's coming soon enough.

#Occupy'60's: The Owwies haven't studied much history. They recall the protests of the '60's of course; the stumblebums and hippies with their tie-dyed shirts and long hair and free sex and drugs; their marches (mostly) on college campuses, with the occasional stroll down Main Streets. But, mostly, college kids who didn't want to go to Vietnam, and couldn't wrangle a trip to Canada or another way to dodge the draft.

A bit farther back, there were the civil rights marches; those were of much higher class than the anti-war hippies, with no free drugs and sex in the streets.

So, these new-wave Owwie protest marches are de rigueur, and based on the 'old hippie' theories and practices, with the addition of tents and the stupidish 'General Assemblies' with the freaky 'up and down' twinkles and the 'human microphone' nonsense. Of course, lots of 'old hippies', harking back to their youth, are drawn to these sessions like moths to bong flames.

But it's a wannabe-higher-class of people than the standard '60's and '70's hippies, even if they still do all-together-now stink to high heaven.

#OccupyNashville: These kids are tolerated in some cities (Nashville, you listening?) because Owwies do know how to get help from their parents and supporters who are also, mostly, elitist Leftists. And a nice federal Judge in their pocketses.

We have a 'special' Federal Judge in Nashville who struck down Gov. Haslam's order to have these punks frog-marched off to jail.  Federal District Judge Aleta Trauger (who was, incidentally, appointed by dirty cigar-sucking socialist William Jefferson Clinton) interfered with our efforts to oust these 'Occupy' 'tards.

Richmond has smarter mayors and governators than does Tennessee, because their laws forbidding camping in public parks and plazas were already on the books, and far-Left judges like Aleta (a Vandy gal (graduated in '72) who worked a stint as Bredesen's chief of staff, '91-'92) can't interfere.

I'll bet Aleta's a dirty socialist at heart; with consideration of the law secondary to her heartfelt leftist ideologies.

Would you see these Owwies tolerated if they were of the standard 'homeless' class, members of society's unwanted? Would (or did) Nashville tolerate a homeless camp set up on Legislative Plaza in past years? Of course not. They would've been swept away as quickly as Richmond swept away their OWS vagrants couple days ago; with arrests and bulldozers.

These kids are well-connected, and have just enough smarts to game the system.

For now.

This won't end well, mark my words.

So, why did the NRA lend support to that little shithead fleebagger, Wisconsin State Senator Jim Holperin?

Jai singh | 05:41 | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
The recall election for two of the Democratic Wisconsin 'fleebagger' state senators didn't go well for Republicans last night: both 'fleebaggers' get to keep their seats.

The National Rifle Association (NRA), an organization I've long supported, gave an (A) endorsement to little shithead fleebagger Jim Holperin, and I am forced to defend the NRA for doing so.

Long before I became interested in broad-spectrum politics, long before the current chasm in Republican - Democratic ideology drove me to support all-and-only Republican tickets, I voted Democratic when the NRA endorsed a solid 2nd Amendment Democratic candidate.

Yeah, the NRA is single-issue, and believes that in order to keep that single issue front-and-center it’s best to not just pick a party and support only that party, but to judge each candidate on individual merits. Usually it’s no contest: Democrats love gun control; it is a featured party plank.

But the NRA caught massive hell from members when they were poised to endorse Harry Reid for re-up. Finally, the NRA acquiesced, and offered no endorsement in that race.

This comment set off the following exchange (limited to my responses; if you want to follow along, follow the damned linky)...
happyfeet posted on 8/16 @ 9:15 pm
I blame the cowardly self-serving fat-ass socialist douchebags at the National Rifle Association

But Holperin supported legislation deemed helpful to preserving the 2nd Amendment, therefore earning the rightful endorsement of the NRA.

What about ‘single-issue’ do you not understand ?

That single issue (the 2nd Amendment) is the only issue the NRA cares about. It’s a hell of an issue to bear standard for; and I support them for their unwavering support of it.

That is all.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) has recognized the gun rights voting record of State Senator Jim Holperin with an “A” rating, and has endorsed Holperin in the current recall election.

“Your strong and vocal support of our right to keep and bear arms” led to the organization’s backing, according to the letter of endorsement.

“Hunting, fishing, trapping and other outdoor sports are very important to many 12th Senate District residents,” Holperin said. “Therefore, I’ve always worked hard to defend our northwoods sporting traditions, including the least restrictive exercise of 2nd amendment rights.”

Holperin said over the past three years he’s either authored or co-sponsored legislation to authorize the concealed carry of weapons, protect the right of in-the-home self defense (Castle Doctrine), and create a mentor program for young hunters. Conversely, he’s helped to kill legislation requiring weapons to be “micro-stamped”, along with other anti-gun measures.

“I’m grateful to the NRA for recognizing my legislative record of protecting gun rights and our northwoods hunting heritage,” Holperin concluded. “I’m proud to have the organization’s endorsement and I intend to continue working to advance legislation that protects 2nd amendment rights.”

Recall that the NRA was responsible for Al Gore losing Tennessee in 2000. We worked our asses off here; it paid off handsomely, wouldn’t you say?

There are other things we are proud of. S’long, you RINO bastard...

WASHINGTON – Former president George Bush, a gun enthusiast and decades-long member of the National Rifle Association, has resigned from the group because of its statements that agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are “jackbooted thugs” who harass gun owners.

“Your broadside against federal agents deeply offends my own sense of decency and honor, and it offends my concept of service to country,” Bush wrote to NRA president Thomas Washington in a May 3 letter that was released yesterday. “It indirectly slurs a wide array of government law-enforcement officials, who are out there, day and night, laying their lives on the line for all of us.”

Bush said NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre’s description of federal agents as ” `wearing Nazi bucket helmets and black storm trooper uniforms’ (and) wanting to `attack law-abiding citizens’ is a vicious slander on good people.” LaPierre used the description in a fund-raising letter sent to the NRA’s 3.5 million members early this year, and he defended it in the wake of the April 19 bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City.
Telling truth isn't always easy. But the NRA will tell the truth, no matter who cries like a pissy baby.

Heh. The NRA: giving the TEA Party a fall-back position. You be sure to Thank us some day, m’kay?

Much like when Sarah Palin stood up for her old mentor, John McCain, for his re-election (much to the butt-hurt of ‘feets). You always dance with the one who brung you.

If the NRA hadn’t endorsed this little shit, then this little shit and lots of other little shits who are Democrats could cry “See? the NRA will turn it’s back on us in a heartbeat! Why, again, should we risk alienating our caucuses and fellow travelers and support these 2nd Amendment rights?”

Why, indeed?

Wasn’t so long ago that Democrats were not far-LeftLibProggs. Remember the blue dogs? All but dead now, driven out by the new, neo-Marxists.

But not all of them, obviously, are that far gone. This little shit did the right thing, whatever his inner thoughts are, he did pull the right levers. And was rewarded for it with that endorsement.

The NRA is the only big tent with flaps left open, I suppose.

It’s a difficult line to walk.

But we have a solid string of successes to point to.

As of this morning, 51 members of the U.S. Senate have signed letters to President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton saying they will oppose any ATT that includes civilian firearms ownership. These strongly worded letters caution the President and Secretary of State to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Thanking the NRA for our long-standing work on this issue, Senator Moran remarked, “I appreciate the NRA’s partnership on this important effort to defend the rights of American gun owners. I want to thank them for their active support in sending a strong message to the Obama Administration that our firearm freedoms are not negotiable.”

There’s not 51 Republicans in the US Senate.

Both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature voted to approve one of the nation’s strongest Right-to-Carry bills by solid bipartisan margins. Today’s signing of the Wisconsin Personal Protection Act into law leaves Illinois as the only state that provides no way for its citizens to carry firearms for self-protection outside their homes or places of business.

The official NRA line, which I pretty much nailed just above...

NRA is non-partisan in issuing its candidate grades and endorsements. We base our political decisions solely on gun-related issues, as we are a single-issue organization. By not taking into account political party affiliation and/or non-gun-related issues, we ensure we do not divide our base of support that is united in its support for the Second Amendment.

We have a pro-gun incumbent-friendly policy that dictates our support for pro-gun incumbents seeking reelection over pro-gun challengers. We stand with our friends who stand with us in Congress or the state legislature. We would lose all credibility if we abandoned our friends who have stood by us. Of course, should a pro-gun challenger win his election, then he will be the beneficiary of this policy when he seeks re-election.

Given the string of obvious successes, I can pretty much say without worry that their policy is, generally, effective.

I mentioned, above, the Reid Exception…
The National Rifle Association has learned a powerful lesson. That lesson is that they are not the all powerful group they thought they were whose members jump at their mere request. Whether or not they will retain this lesson for use in the future however? That will remain to be seen.

In recent months the NRA has made no secret their overt desire to endorse Senator Harry Reid in Nevada’s Senate race. Claiming to be a “single issue” group that only cares about the second amendment, they touted Reid’s record on gun rights as justification for this potential endorsement. What they were not ready for however was the backlash from their members who had quite a different opinion of Senator Reid.

What the NRA learned is that vast swaths of their membership were not single issue voters. They learned that their members were lovers of the whole Constitution. And as word of the potential endorsement spread the pushback was becoming obvious and even threatened the organization’s ability to raise money. …

Well, there is good news to report. The NRA has backed off. We Tea Partiers demanded it and they blinked. …

The real reason for this hasty decision and poorly provided justification for it is because the NRA has felt the sting of what Americans who have had too much are capable of. And anyone who flirts with the destructive ideology of liberalism or supports liberals will be in our line of fire.

Eventually, the gouge between Left and Right will be such that no organization can bridge it. Then, there will be open conflict, which is not a pleasant thing, really.

"Four Ways the U.S. is Pulling Apart": Same-Sex Marriage, Abortion, Guns, Immigration

Jai singh | 05:49 | | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
From NationalJournal, an analysis of the ripping of America; traditional values vs. 'LeftLibProgg' encroachments.

Of the four battlegrounds, we (Conservatives) are pulling ahead in all except for the same-sex marriage issue (see the charts at the linky).

Same-sex marriage...

Twelve of the 18 blue-wall states now have same-sex-marriage or civil-union laws that guarantee equivalent spousal benefits. By contrast, every state that has consistently voted Republican in recent presidential elections has a law or constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

Very strange, being attracted to the same-sex; something I just can't fathom. Democrats embrace this filthy-seeming behavior. Just goes to show how rotten their minds really are.

Abortion...

While blue states moved left on same-sex marriage, a number of predominantly conservative states moved right on abortion. Fifteen states, including 13 that have voted Republican in at least four of the past five presidential races, enacted at least one major restriction on abortion in the first half of 2011. Many states enacted one or two measures, but Indiana and Kansas adopted all five restrictions that National Journal tracked: mandatory ultrasounds before abortions; longer waiting periods or more-stringent counseling requirements; limits on insurance coverage; defunding of Planned Parenthood; and a ban on abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, a policy that abortion advocates say violates Roe v. Wade.

Seems correct that if, politically, one embraces 'same-sex' unions that one can also embrace killing the unborn. Scabrous and decadent, Democrats.

Immigration...

The traditional “immigration-receiving states” of the Northeast and the Pacific Coast mostly leaned against bringing the law down on illegal immigrants, while Southern and Midwestern states moved the other way. Five red states enacted Arizona-style immigration enforcement laws, while nine expanded the use of the E-Verify database in public and private hiring. Seven states, including traditionally blue Wisconsin and Rhode Island, passed laws requiring voters to show photo identification. On the coasts, blue states made in-state tuition benefits available to illegal immigrants, and Illinois, Massachusetts, and New York opted out of the Secure Communities federal enforcement program. Utah went in both directions, enacting a strict enforcement law along with a guest-worker program.

Only the most dirty-socialist Democrat will ignore the porous borders. Of course, Democrats who do are looking to pick up another fellow traveler. A illegal immigrant is simply an undocumented Democrat in their eyes.

Guns...It's clear that Democrats took a major whipping after Bill Clinton's overreach in the '90's. Democrats lost in 2000 because they ran Al Gore, and he could not retain Tennessee (his 'home state') because WE in the NRA worked overtime to defeat his LeftLibProgg ass. Democrats have not forgotten that, and have wisely backed off attacking the 2nd Amendment directly. Of course Barack Hussein Obama will do whatever he can to re-start the gun controlling. If this debt ceiling crisis mess weren't in the headlines, taking up so much oxygen, then this major DOJ - ATF Gunrunner scandal might well be nipping at BHO's heels right now, possibly becoming an impeachable offense. What did Barack Hussein Obama know, and when did he know it?

Gun-rights advocates this year loosened restrictions primarily, but not exclusively, in Republican-leaning states. Blue-state Maryland passed a law strengthening penalties for gun crimes, but other than that it has been one-way traffic on guns so far in 2011. Thirteen states (including eight traditional red states) lightened restrictions on carrying firearms, with the laws ranging from a Wisconsin act legalizing concealed carry to North Dakota and Texas laws allowing people to keep loaded weapons in their cars while unattended in parking lots. Pennsylvania, a blue-wall state, joined North Carolina in passing a stronger “castle law,” giving people more leeway in defending themselves with deadly force.

It's obvious that each individual should have access and ability to defend him/herself. Especially with the (forced) downsizing occurring - getting ready to occur - at State, Federal and Local governments, police departmental staffing levels might well be decreasing, as funding dries up. I won't mind that, given that I'm self-protected.

Support for the Republicans in Wisconsin

Jai singh | 08:07 | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Billboard along US 45 SB right before Silver Spring in Milwaukee

The #WiUnion LeftLibProggs are running recall elections on Republican Senators (those who didn't Fleebag the state when the going got tough) and Governor Scott Walker.

Seems the polling numbers are down for Republican Governors who won states and enacted tough measures to control spending (notice Tennessee's Governor is not on this list; for two reasons: Tennesseans are for the most part still of higher moral character than other, bluer states; with the exception of course of the large 'burgs like Nashville and Memphis and to a lesser degree Knoxville. And the LeftLibProggs here just don't have enough moochers to out-vote good people, as of yet).

So, why can't Team R keep the gains we've made at the state levels? The polls are down for Republican governors in most states. Seems we can win a cycle, but then lose the next cycle because Democratic dirty socialists have more to offer (freebies from the Treasury), and we wind up no better off than before, only pushed a little more farther away left from center.

Why?, you ask? Because many people are just not of the same moral character as were stouter people of previous generations. Collectively, our society has lost much of the moral character that was so pervasive when the founders founded; I blame this wane of morality on the drop in religious belief and participation; people of little faith tend to be more ME!-first oriented and moocherly, if you’ll allow that expression.

And don’t repeat to me that the founders wrote religion completely out of the Constitution. They did, if you insist, but they never knew I’ll warrant that the waning of religion would bring with it a twilight of character. Without some sort of faith-based structure as an ‘unseen helper agent’, a society with little or no moral character and backbone will go to hell (!) very quickly, no matter who wrote or how well-written is their Constitution.

Austerity for Greece? BWAHAHAHAHAHA~!

Jai singh | 09:59 | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Inevitable: A New Round of 'Harsh' Austerity
Will Greece become the first 'socialist' nation in the EU to default on it's debt, bringing a Lehman-style crisis to Eurozone financial market? If there is no '2nd Bailout' led by Germany and France, then yes, a default on debt is likely. Such a default would lead to a meltdown, affecting every financial player on the planet. So, what's to stop this incipient meltdown? Why couldn't Greece get a bailout?

Because Greece is socially and politically f*cked up, and it's obvious to anyone who would look. There's internal pressure from the citizens to push back against sensible austerity measures that are necessary for Eurozone nations to approve any further bailouts.

So, what are these austerity measures that cause such anger amongst Greek citizenry?

Austerity measure: "Collect more taxes from those who won't pay what they owe". That's not happening, because there's no government tax collection organ that's feared by anyone; Greeks pay only an estimated 20% of what they owe. There's a Tax Collection 'Union', fer chrissakes, that's as corrupt as any American Union.

Austerity measure: "Shut down the guilds that control employment". There's no 'open market' for employment; Mafia-styled 'guilds' control who can work in what profession. You can't be a pharmacist or a truck driver unless you know someone who can pull a few strings. That measure, required prior to the last bailout, is being implemented, but only superficially.

Austerity measure: "Cut back on early retirement and the overly-generous pensions and benefits given as satisfacticants to Greek citizens". There's strong, pervasive socialistic and communistic desires ingrained in the average Greek citizen; worse even than the desires inculcated in our own voting-Democratic-Party moochers (but Democrats are getting our moochers to Greek expectancy levels by 'Community Organizing' them, one dirty socialist at a time). These Greeks expect to be pampered from cradle to grave, with no strings attached that would require them to work or otherwise accept any cutbacks to their goodies. Ask a Greek socialist to retire at age 63 1/2, up from 61 1/2, and it's like they're being tortured...

Around 5,000 protesters from the Communist group PAME marched into Athens' central Syntagma square -- where demonstrations turned violent earlier this week -- chanting "the measures are killing us!"

French activists also performed with a three-meter puppet depicting a bloodied figure of Lady Justice to rhythmic drumming, in a gesture of solidarity with Greek protesters who have camped in the square for three weeks.

"What has changed with the reshuffle? Nothing," said Costas, a 22-year-old student who has been camping on the square since the beginning of the month. "We are not planning to leave unless they take back the measures."

(Rhythmic drumming? Didn't our own Wisconsin unionists employ that 'solidarity' tactic?)

Austerity measures prior to the last Eurozone bailout called for cuts to public-sector pensions and a few 'easy' changes. This time, there's a problem, because pushing these austerity measures requires fundamental changes to Greek social and governmental structures.
“The main problem is that he’s only been able to deliver on the parts of the austerity package that are easily enforceable and transparent and irrevocable,” such as cuts to public sector salaries and pensions, said Spyros Economides, a political scientist who co-directs the Hellenic Observatory at the London School of Economics. “Unfortunately, the rest of it is a complete mess.”

“It’s very easy to legislate,” Mr. Economides added. “The problem is to enforce legislation. There’s no enforcement mechanism. It’s all done for the eyes of the public.”

On Sunday, finance ministers from the euro zone will meet in Luxembourg and are expected to approve the next dispersal of aid. But if Mr. Papandreou fails to push through the new austerity measures that Parliament is expected to begin debating next week — with a confidence vote scheduled for Tuesday following a cabinet reshuffle last week — it could jeopardize the second rescue package that Greece needs in order to carry it through next year. A default would send the euro zone and world markets into a tailspin.
France and Germany will likely cave and give another bailout to Greece, to suspend any Eurozone crisis. I'm anxious to see if Papandreou, the socialist, keeps the coalition government intact; if the Greek citizenry force a no-confidence vote and secure a new election, who or what will they choose?

What's their next government choice that's farther left than Pappy ?

Friday One-Hits; and a Friday Photo Study

Jai singh | 06:32 | | | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
* Jimmah Carter posts an obit in today's NYT: "Call off the Global Drug War". Explains much of his policies, that.

* Charles Krauthammer posts an editorial in the OC Register, pointing out that Democrats need Unions and Unions need Democrats. Nothing new and earth-shattering about that fact; just nice to see it getting ever more exposure. Two recent events prove that Unions and Democrats are in bed and furiously mating: the Boeing case and of course the Wisconsin debacle. Krauthammer...
Instructive cases all, demonstrating how those who lose popular support – Democrats at the polls, unions in their declining membership – can subvert and circumvent the popular will by judicial usurpation (Wisconsin) or administrative fiat (Boeing).

The Wisconsin maneuver ultimately failed, as likely will the assault on Boeing. In the interim, however, there is collateral damage – to U.S. exports, to the larger economy, to bankruptcy law, to free trade, to a constitutional system wherein the legislatures make the laws, rather than willful judges and partisan regulators.

But what are those when there are unions to appease and elections to win?
Damned dirty socialists, Democrats and Unions; a pox on 'em, really.

* Speaking of 'furiously mating', this photo of the street riots sparked by the Boston Bruins' ice-hockey win over the Canucks in Vancouver is said by Iowahawk to be 'The Best. Picture. Ever.'.

Wouldn't go that far, but that photo is an excellent example of far-out emotional ranging in potentially stressful and violent situations. And, coming off of Weiner's resignation yesterday, we needed a second look, for further cognitive study, of uncontrollable behaviors brought on by empathic emotional responses to situational stresses. Definitely the photo warrants a second look. Wouldn't you agree?

Massive Butt-Hurt in Wisconsin's Dirty Socialist - Union - LeftLibProgg world yesterday and forward.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court bitch slapped that lower court Judge, Sumi, for allowing her ideology to overcome her legal sensibilities. Not even a nice slap, but a heavy-duty high-amperage bitch slap...

¶6 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that all orders and judgments of the Dane County Circuit Court in Case No. 2011CV1244 are vacated and declared to be void ab initio.

What ab initio means is that Sumi, sitting in her judicial robes in the lower court so screwed up the ruling that the Supreme Court won't even bother to send the matter back to her for her review (to remand) but takes it completely out of her hands, forever.

It's like taking an eraser to her ruling.

And, bitch slapping her around just a bit.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court correctly ruled that activist courts aren't allowed, under rule of law, to interfere with the legislative process simply because a judge's ideology makes her want to do so, a 'feel-good' ruling. If a doctor is supposed to operate on a patient for, oh, gallstones, how would you feel if he took off your left nut just because he doesn't like to do abdominal surgery?

Read this. It's a thing of beauty...

¶9 Although all orders that preceded the circuit court’s judgment in Case No. 2011CV1244 may be characterized as moot in some respects, the court addresses whether a court can enjoin publication of a bill. The court does so because whether a court can enjoin a bill is a matter of great public importance and also because it appears necessary to confirm that Goodland remains the law that all courts must follow. State v. Cramer, 98 Wis. 2d 416, 420, 296 N.W.2d 921 (1980) (noting that we consider questions that have become moot “where the question is one of great public importance . . . or of public interest,” or “where the problem is likely to recur and is of sufficient importance to warrant a holding which will guide trial courts in similar circumstances”). Accordingly, because the circuit court did not follow the court’s directive in Goodland, it exceeded its jurisdiction, invaded the legislature’s constitutional powers under Article IV, Section 1 and Section 17 of the Wisconsin Constitution, and erred in enjoining the publication and further implementation of the Act.

Let's see 'em trot out 'Jabba the Filmmaker' and a few busloads of SEIU thugs from around the nation, even do a recall of the fife and drum corps from the NYC Fire Department.

(Speaking of Michael Moore, 'Jabba the Filmmaker', here he is, just for kicks and giggles! )

We've seen unhinged professors around here, haven't we? Right down the street from me there lives an unhinged far-LeftLibProgg forever-Bush-hating Professor who is also an outspoken blogger. But he is not the subject of this post. There's plenty more where he comes from; most are quietly doing their damage inside and contained to classrooms. But some are making news by lashing out at their perceived 'enemies', their...students.

This article from the John William Pope Center (h/t SDA) highlights two incidents that occurred in April 2011...

The Angry Ones

Two professors recently broke with academic norms when they lashed out in unhinged fashion directly at conservative students.

Professors making shocking political statements is nothing new: most people involved in higher education are familiar with such outrages as University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill calling the victims of the 9-11 terrorist attacks “little Eichmanns.”

Traditionally, though, faculty members have refrained from making attacks directly at students for political reasons. But that is no longer the case. There were two such incidents in one month (April).

Such behavior raises important questions. Is this part of an emerging pattern? If so, why did such behavior surface now? What should schools do about it?

In the most publicized case, a campus-wide email recruiting campaign by the University of Iowa College Republicans called "Conservative Coming Out Week" so enraged one professor that she responded with a mass email of her own saying “F--- You Republicans.”

The other incident occurred at Davidson College, a small, prestigious private school outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. This time it was a professor’s abusive letter to the editor of the student newspaper attacking a conservative student columnist. While it did not receive anywhere near the national attention that the Iowa episode did—possibly because no profanity was involved—it perhaps caused more of a stir on its own campus than did the Iowa episode.

The roots of this phenomenon most likely lie in the political imbalance on many campuses, which results in an atmosphere allowing left-wing professors to avoid criticism of even their most extreme views. Dissenting opinions, particularly by students fearful of lowered grades and ostracism, were once uncommon on campuses. But today there is a growing—and increasingly vocal—conservative student presence.

For the two professors involved, it appears that having their sacred political cows gored by swaggeringly aggressive conservatives on the hallowed ground of the Ivory Tower was too much to bear, and they erupted with a torrent of angry words.

The Iowa case readily illustrates these dynamics. Ellen Lewin, a women’s studies and anthropology professor who specializes in gender issues, claimed that the main reason for her fury was the College Republican’s expropriation of the term “coming out.” The Republicans’ wordplay was an obvious attempt to draw a parallel between the tendency of campus conservatives to hide their opinions from professors and fellow students and the tendency of many gays to remain in the “closet,” in both cases for fear of facing discrimination and hostility.

To be sure, the Iowa Republicans “coming out” email was hardly subtle; it mocked left-wing beliefs by announcing an “Animal Rights Barbecue” and ridiculing union members for their part in the Wisconsin budget protests. But while Lewin may have considered the email to be “obscene,” it was officially sanctioned by the university administration. Furthermore, its so-called offensiveness pales in comparison to some of the things campus conservatives frequently are forced to accept. For instance, at least five colleges have made recorded speeches by unrepentant convicted cop-killer and Black Panther member Mumia Abu Jamal part of their commencements.

At Davidson, German professor Scott Denham’s fuse burnt more slowly than did Lewin’s, but he exploded much the same. For four years, senior Bobby DesPain was a political columnist for the student newspaper, The Davidsonian. His opinions were unabashedly conservative and often unpopular on the highly liberal campus. On March 31, his column claiming that President Obama lacked leadership appeared; it was the final straw for Denham, who fired off a letter that began by asking, “Is Bobby DesPain leaving soon? We, your loyal readers, sure hope so. He gives the intellectual climate here a bad reputation.”

He continued, “This last belch of his tops most of the others I’ve read over the years on the stench-o-meter of silliness. “ He concluded the largely ad hominem assault with “We’d hate for Davidson to attract more of this sort of illogical thinker, regardless of politics.” ...

Indeed, by reacting to students’ differing opinions with such unprofessional and acrimonious emotional outbursts, one must wonder about the offending professors’ fitness for their jobs and what kind of judgment they will use in campus business such as grading and serving on search, tenure, and promotion committees.

For instance, Denham is the committee chair for the Graduate Fellowships Committee. Since, according to the committee’s website, the committee “seeks to identify early in their Davidson careers students who are likely candidates for graduate fellowships and scholarships,” can he be expected to recruit conservative students for such honors? It would appear to be unlikely.

Given that conservative beliefs on campus seem to be on the ascendance, and given that some of America’s most extreme intellectuals have long found a sanctuary in the Ivory Tower (and have grown comfortable with winning one-sided debates), we can probably expect to see more incidents like those at Iowa and Davidson. Should academia greet such transgressions with a shrug, as Davidson and Iowa are doing, it will encourage them and their silencing effect.
In doing so, it will also reject the spirit of free inquiry that is the academy’s greatest virtue. And without that, academia will cease to matter in the long run.
We allow our kids to be indoctrinated from age 6 to at least age 22 by what seems to be a glut of left-liberal teachers...from the unionists on government dole all the way up to professors who publicly gloat their left-liberal-progressive views. And we wonder why this nation is on the verge of collapse.

Just today, China claims we are defaulting on our obligations...

China ratings house says US defaulting: report

"In our opinion, the United States has already been defaulting," Guan Jianzhong, president of Dagong Global Credit Rating Co. Ltd., the only Chinese agency that gives sovereign ratings, was quoted by the Global Times saying.

Washington had already defaulted on its loans by allowing the dollar to weaken against other currencies -- eroding the wealth of creditors including China, Guan said.

Guan did not immediately respond to AFP requests for comment.

The US government will run out of room to spend more on August 2 unless Congress bumps up the borrowing limit beyond $14.29 trillion -- but Republicans are refusing to support such a move until a deficit cutting deal is reached.
You hear that, America, especially those on the moocher Left? The curtain is starting to close on our free-wheeling big-spending ways.

It has begun.

Sit down, Wisconsin. We'll show you how it's done.

Good for Tennessee.

Let's see what the devils do next.

Tennessee Trumps Wisconsin: Kills Teacher Collective Bargaining. Dead.

To fix public schools, you have to control public schools.

And there’s little control when teachers unions, with their self-serving agendas, question every cost-cutting proposal and reform on the table.

That’s why so many state governments have taken swift action to limit the power of organized labor in public schools. Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Idaho and Michigan were the first, and Tennessee added itself to the list on Wednesday.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam affixed his signature on House Bill 130 and Senate Bill 113, ending collective bargaining and giving local school boards the full authority to operate their districts in the manner they choose.

...

Nobody elected the unions

Tennessee lawmakers were careful to leave a few key items off the discussion table, including personnel and staffing decisions, how to use grant money, the evaluation process for employees and whether or not payroll deductions can be made for political purposes.

That means the end of the road for the treasured union concept of seniority, particularly when it’s applied at layoff time.

Weekend Video: Lessons from Atlas Shrugged

If you've read Ayn Rand's timeless classic, good for you! You should no longer be a dirty socialist - collectivist. Unless your name is Wesley Mouch, or you are one of Mouch's moocher minions.

If you haven't availed yourself to read Atlas Shrugged, this is a pretty decent overview. But there is no substitute for reading the novel, you lazy ass.

Other weekend goodies:

Justice David Prosser wins the Wisconsin Supreme Court recount over dirty socialist-supported JoAnne Kloppenburg. So much for 'Jabba the Filmmaker''s visit to rouse the rabble in Madison.

How to spot a psychopath

Some asshole swiped my "Jabba the Filmmaker" photoshop without accreditation. If I was a psychopath, I'd boil him in cod liver oil.

Home Depot, a microcosm of the U.S. Economy: just hanging in there. Oh, and Boeing, under attack from Barack Obama's NLRB, and Unions.

Jai singh | 05:54 | | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
From Clusterstock...
If you're looking for another microcosm of the entire economy, check out Home Depot earnings.
  • The company reported weak revenue, due to a weather induced "soft" Spring season (AKA the housing market still sucks).
  • But earnings still surpassed expectations, as the company took the hatchet to expenses.
  • And the company remains optimistic about the economy, without providing much justifications.
... You can see how sales declined year over year, but how gutting spending across the board led to the income boost.
Microcosm indeed. Hanging in there; whipping the bean counters to reduce every expense they can (human expense (aka 'paychecks') is already narrowed to keeping as few workers as possible to keep the motors running). Efficiency from the remaining employees is expected.

One thing with which you can credit Mr. Obama's presidency: by inducing this blanket of 'fear for the future' response from American businesses and corporations, they in turn have demanded CHANGE from most from their employees; ship up or risk joining the fat, dumb and happy masses receiving 'unending' government unemployment benefits. That's making these remaining American businesses stronger, leaner, and more adaptable and able to compete with each other and with competition from overseas (not that we'll see a Chinese lumber yard here anytime soon). This concept of stronger and smaller does not extend to some 'protected' industries, however.

The only employees shielded from this belt-tightening and the forced increased in efficiency are...you guessed it. Government employees and, to a somewhat lesser extent, employees belonging to labor unions. The worst and (still) 'laziest' 'protected' employees are public-sector union employees, working for Government. They are self-considered 'privileged', and want to be isolated and immune from any economic storms; they are not about to allow any sort of 'management' (whether it be the bean counters at Ford answering to stockholders or the Governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker, answering to taxpayers) change the way they are compensated, be it short-term or after they've retired.

Now, we have Government (Barack Obama's NLRB) trying to force Boeing to fire a thousand non-union workers in South Carolina (a 'right-to-work' state, like Tennessee) because that new 787 Dreamliner final assembly plant there would be better for Obama if it were in Washington state (a Union stronghold), employing union thugs (a known and 'Community Organized' BHO - Democrat - Dirty Socialist voting bloc) . This cannot stand...

FOIA Request Filed to Disclose Political Motives Behind NLRB’s Attack on Boeing

Washington, DC May 16, 2011 – The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation filed a Freedom of Information Act FOIA disclosure request with the National Labor Relations Board NLRB on the heels of the agency’s recent announcement that it will prosecute airline manufacturer Boeing Corp.

If International Association of Machinists IAM union officials and the NLRB are successful, over 1,000 Boeing employees in South Carolina would be out of work as Boeing will be forced to relocate the aircraft assembly jobs to Washington State which lacks Right to Work protections for employees.
From the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation's press release...
“Once again the Obama Labor Board is putting union boss priorities ahead of the rights and well-being of individual employees,” said Mark Mix, President of National Right to Work. “If the NLRB succeeds in its prosecution of Boeing and Boeing is forced to move its production at the whim of IAM union bosses, over 1,000 jobs in South Carolina would be eliminated and a troubling precedent would be set.”

“In addition, the National Right to Work Foundation has ramped up its legal program to assist all current or prospective Boeing employees who could lose their jobs as a result of the NLRB’s aggressive posture toward independent-minded workers.”
Can't make this shit up.

Ann Rand was a prophetess.

Pakistanis, others, question bin Laden's death; and Credit is Due to Bush and Cheney

Jai singh | 06:15 | | | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Not so many here in the US, but look no further than those hotbeds of already-strange religious beliefs (Pakistan and the other Islamic nations) to hear questions, denials, anger, and rage.

I can understand where they're coming from. They've had this hero, this 'Superman', who struck at the heart of the kuffar, killing thousands - which is OK for Islamicists if you are a 'good enough' Muslim and have read the Koran correctly; many clerics and Imams and other Islamic rage-zealots read and apply the Koran for purposes of mind-controlling lower beasts, and they've succeeded in capturing many simple, uneducated minds, turning them into easily-lead packs of dogs - and now, all of a sudden, some Navy Seals apply Kryptonite .223 to Usama's head? No way, they say! You are faking this! This is an elaborate Hollywood stage set, and our Usama is still in the hills, coming back to lead us again against the kuffar!

I know we got him. Just as I know George Bush did not strike against the World Trade Center on 9/11, and I know that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii, son of a dirty socialist and a confuzzled, raging mother. Just as I know that Scott Walker had never met the Koch brothers, and those Wisconsin Democrat Senator fleebaggers wound up with bedbug bites on their cowardly asses.

So, what should we have do to quell these 'deather' beliefs? There is no 'death certificate' that these Pakistanis and other Islamicists will believe. We did leave behind women and children, at that stinking compound; 9 children are now in Pakistani police custody. Maybe they know something of the man ignominiously shot in the head, carried off in a helicopter on a ride to parts unknown, and dumped in the drink as a treat for crabs. We have photos? Please! easily doctored, you know that. They won't believe those. We have DNA samples? So? Where's the body? Oh, you buried it according to Muslim customs, eh? So you say! Why would you do that, if this man you say you shot was OUR Usama, Usul, the base of our pillar of hatred against the Western devils?

We should have paraded his corpse around every world capital. Or, had a proper 'at-sea' burial, having invited and picked up a delegation of Islamabad's best: clerics, imams, the town 'mayor', some assorted butt-hurt Pakistani military leaders, carted them to the Carl Vinson and let them watch the Feeding of the Crabs. They could go back and swear to...what, exactly? That the guy was definitely Osama bin Laden? Or just a nice waxwork created in Hollywood?

Calling Joseph Heller, code-word Catch-22. This is an emergency.

Oh, this photo from the NYT (accompanying the best story I've seen: even the NYT has to acknowledge that the information we needed to run this SpecOp originated in Guantanamo, on waterboarding slabs (thanks!, Dick Cheney, George Bush, for making this all possible!).

Barack Hussein Obama deserves credit for allowing this SpecOp to go forward. He wasn't a coward like most Democrats; pulling the plug at the last minute (are you listening, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton?); he allowed this to happen. But it happened IN SPITE of his holding office, not BECAUSE he was in office. And, if he had kept to his promises to his LeftLibProgg base, none of this would have happened: because he lied to far-left Democrats, because he stayed the course set by George Bush and Dick Cheney and Karl Rove and kept Guantanamo open, kept a strong military operation going on in Afghanistan, we were FINALLY able to get this Osama bin Bastard.

Now, BHO'll do victory laps; trying to keep all the credit for himself, to boost his 2012 re-election bid. But we know who is really behind this happy outcome.

Becoming an instant 'military hero' doesn't change anything at all: BHO's dirty socialistic beliefs are still in place in his mind, and won't be going anywhere. I won't care that he allowed this outcome come November 2012, because by then, it'll be All About the Economy, Stupid. Gas prices are too high; the Misery Index, comprised of inflation and unemployment, all of that awaits this President come November 2012. Chickens waiting to come home to roost.

So take your laps, small(est) man.

"Where China Outpaces America": Where Nicholas Kristof lauds the Chinese Communist Party, on May Day, just as do all modern Democrats.

Jai singh | 07:45 | | | | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Yes, it's May Day, international worker's day, a traditional holiday for the Communist Party and for socialists everywhere, including right here in the U.S.A.; where unions are planning protests nationwide, and celebrating the fact that Democrats are now 'coming around' to Socialism (and who knows? eventually maybe even to full-blown Marxist Communism). 'American Socialism' has never been stronger and more outspoken than it is today, under Barack Obama's leadership.

How important is May Day to American unionists and Democrats? Read for yourself...
It’s unfortunate that many Americans lost the memory of May Day because in failing to celebrate the holiday, U.S. workers are deprived of the spirit of solidarity they used to share with international workers. However, that doesn’t mean that May Day is completely forgotten within the United States.

The San Jose May 1 Coalition is hosting a march for immigration rights, while the protests of Governor Scott Walker continue in Wisconsin. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka will speak at Milwaukee’s May Day march today in one of more than 100 marches and rallies that will be held across the country.

The AFL-CIO is live-blogging May Day actions and also tweeting updates under the hashtag #MayDay. In a written statement, the union’s blog reads: “These rallies and marches will show workers’ rights and immigrant rights are connected.”

Christine Neumann-Ortiz, founder and executive director of Voces de la Frontera, says that there is now “an unprecedented alliance” between labor and immigrant rights communities in the wake of Walker’s bill that eliminate bargaining rights for public workers. “We want to send a message to corporate America, politicians and others that working people will not be divided,” she says.

Even the New York Times posts a front-page story lauding the Communist Chinese Party.

Nicholas D. Kristof pens an editorial lauding statistics that prove Shanghai's life expectancy and infant mortality rates are better than New York City's (unless of course you add in Shanghai's migrant worker population, then those statistics change for the worse; but for comparison points, Kristof wants to use 'sanitized' data that allow him to bash and blame evil Conservatives and Corporations for America's faults). And, lo and behold! Chinese school systems are the best in a 65-nation survey! Why, we should adapt their school system's methodology forthright and post haste!

Let's start by getting rid of our teacher's unions. China has the best school system you say? China doesn't have unions you say? Hop to it, then. Break up these pesky unions; our schools will become more like China's.

And what of these statistics proving Shanghai, and China, have better, longer lives than poor oppressed-by-Capitalism Americans?

Given that the parents of Shanghai's (and the rest of China's) children are only allowed only one child per family, it's likely that that one child will have much more attention given to it (including prenatal care) than would a child in a multiple-child family (if such families were permitted for comparison's sake), because that child will be considered
'precious and few'. Unless it's a girl-child, of course; amongst female children in China that are allowed to be born in the first place, you might find a higher mortality rate. There's a statistic you won't find to be comparable to any other nation's birth-and-survival statistics, I'll warrant.

Is that a good thing, China's one-child-per-family rule? From a strictly biological point of view, yes it is. There are far too many people on this planet for long-term sustainability; just ask any honest scientist worth his various parchments. That's the underlying (and largely unspoken) principle driving many of the left's environment-first thinkers, from Al Gore to John Holdren; an opinion that is innate to many who believe in a biological existence. Atheists believe that humans are no more than a chance-evolved function of complex carbon-based chemistry, are sans a soul and, biologically speaking, are purposeless except for the species' basest expectations: be born, reproduce if you are worthy, then die. That's a clear separation from their faith-based God-bothering counterparts.

We here in the 'ever-enlightening' Western world will have to adapt that one-child rule of course, sooner than later. Why not? The Chinese, so far, seem much better off for it.

And the CCP is, of course, much better than any old Conservative - Tea Party- Republican-influenced government that's causing such massive butt-hurt for the 'enlightened' in our neo-socialist society, right, Kristof?

Snap to it, then. Work to see a United States sans any right-based thinking. You'll be right where you want to be, cradled by a Social Democratic Party that Cares, just like China's.
