4 July 2011 finds Tea Partyers, Conservatives Fighting a Peaceful, Political 2nd American Revolution

An essay in today's American Thinker puts our struggle against the enemy into perspective...

On Independence Day it is independence we celebrate. An arrogant government in London had treated us less as countrymen and more as subjects. The defining event came on January 29, 1774, when the great polymath Benjamin Franklin was ridiculed and humiliated before the Privy Council in London as he tried to reason with lesser men whose physical proximity to power meant more than Franklin's genius and goodwill. Geographical concentration of power kills freedom.   ...

State legislators must heed voters because they are so close to the voters and live not in state capitals but throughout the state. Members of the House of Representatives were supposed to be that popular check on federal abuse of citizens, but House members have about 750,000 constituents. They live in Washington; they build war chests; their staff works overtime to do favors for constituents. The net effect is that those federal politicians closest to the people can largely ignore the folks back home and heed the winds of Washington.
(Bold emphasis mine).

They live and work in Washington D.C., where we find the highest concentration of 'Liberals' (actually, today, they are better known as far-Left 'Progressives', or LeftLibProggs). Washington D.C. is crammed chock-full of the greatest concentration of these dirty socialists, the looters of the working producers in America, concentrated for to take money from the treasury and give it to moochers for their votes.

Our federal district is the practical home of almost everyone who is anyone in the federal government. It is dramatically more liberal than any state. While conservatives outnumber liberals in every state of the union, according to Gallup, only 18% of those in Washington are conservatives while 41% of Washingtonians are liberals. Survey USA reveals that in New York City, perhaps the heart of non-governmental liberalism, liberals outnumber conservatives by the relatively modest 25% to 20%. Our national capital is wildly farther to the left than anywhere else in the nation.

Perhaps we should force-move the seat of Federal power on occasion. Let the LeftLibProggs work out of Omaha for several years. Leave the monuments in Washington D.C., make the 'humans' in government work out of trailers in various State capitols in a rotation. The bastards would then truly reflect the will of all the 'people', not just the 'needy moocher people' crying the loudest for handouts in the great overpopulated city 'burgs.

Back to the essay...

Our nation has reached a pivotal point. Conservatives are fighting a peaceful, political Second American Revolution. Last November Republicans made huge gains in state governments. Rather than wait passively for the central hives of the left to form and then attack, bold Americans like Scott Walker and Chris Christie have waged a policy war against public employee unions. In state after state, Republicans holding fast to their principles are winning legislative battles and showing big labor to be a gluttonous and gutless foe. The nostalgic cries of big bosses ganging up on impoverished unions rings hollow in the ears of most Americans (ignore manufactured polling data to the contrary). Even worse, the NLRB is fighting to prevent Boeing for locating some production operations in more business-friendly South Carolina instead of Washington State. That is, quite simply, fascism.

Yes, it's a peaceful sort of 2nd American Revolution. Thankfully peaceful. And it'll stay that way. It had better stay that way, or the results will not be pleasant.

But the LeftLibProggs must be defeated, politically, for this Republic to survive.

The article goes on to enumerate several positive steps we're (Conservatives, Tea Partyers) are taking to protect and save this nation; we are attacking ObamaCare, we are fighting illegal immigration at the State levels ('Wesley Mouch', that secretive SuperProgg editor of the New York Times, today decries that the new anti-illegal laws in Georga, Alabama and South Carolina are 'outdoing' Arizona's SB1070 in putting pressure on illegal immigrants. 'Wesley', they can always go to New York City, right? With your caveat that they always vote 'Democratic', of course).

The next steps in fighting federal government overreach must be at the state level, strengthening the 10th Amendment so that the individual states regain the rights that the federal has usurped. A methodology to limit federal power, restoring that to the various States, is obviously necessary.

People do vote with their feets. Good people leave lefty shitholes like New York, Illinois, Massachusetts and California and move to states without confiscatory taxes and onerous policies, e.g. Tennessee and South Carolina. If you live in a Blue state, consider leaving.

It's a good thing when the Federal Government loses LeftLibProgg representatives, as happened when California did not get another Representative after the 2010 census (first time since it's formation). Blue states lost 6 reps; Red states gained 6.

Keep fighting the good fight, Conservatives, Tea Partyers. We must win this one.

July 4th, a Conservative Holiday in America
