New York Times' editor 'Wesley Mouch': "The Numbers Are Grim"

Jai singh | 06:26 | | | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Of course the numbers are grim, 'Wesley'. Barack Hussein Obama, redistributionist extraordinaire, dirty socialist, economy-destroyer and likely follower of Cloward-Piven stratagems, is still in Office.
More troubling in the latest figures, consumer spending — the largest component of the economy — was especially slow. Stagnant wages and higher prices for gas and food are squeezing family budgets, while falling home equity hurts consumer confidence. That suggests more bad news to come.

When consumers are constrained, so is hiring, because without customers, employers are hard pressed to retain workers or make new hires. A recent Labor Department report showed a greater-than-expected rise in the number of people claiming jobless benefits even as private-sector economic forecasts are being revised downward — both very bad omens for continued job growth.
What does 'Wesley Mouch' recommend? Why, more taxes and govern spending, of course!
The White House has offered sounder ideas, including job retraining, plans to boost educational achievement and tax increases to help cover needed spending. But its economic team is mainly focused on negotiations to raise the debt limit, presumably parrying Republican demands for deep spending cuts that could weaken the economy further while still reaching an agreement on the necessary increase.

The grim numbers tell an unavoidable truth: The economy is not growing nearly fast enough to dent unemployment. Unfortunately, no one in Washington is pushing policies to promote stronger growth now.
Yes there is. Why, just this weekend Sarah Palin started her bus tour, leaving Washington for a cross-country campaign. If that's not 'pushing policies to promote strong growth', then what is?

Kicking Barry out of Office in 2012 is the most significant economic stimulus plan that's currently on the table.

Democrats choose Charlotte for the 2012 DNC Convention.

Jai singh | 15:52 | | Be the first to comment!
Oh, and one dead already in Uptown Charlotte...

Uptown chaos leaves 1 dead

Second person wounded in gunfire. Police in riot gear arrest 70 people two hours after Speed Street ends.

One person was fatally shot and another wounded early Sunday after several hours of trouble in uptown Charlotte that ended with police in riot gear trying to break up crowds and making 70 arrests.

The shootings took place shortly after 1 a.m. across 3rd Street from the Hilton hotel, two hours after Food Lion Speed Street had closed. Antwan Terrell Smith, 22, was shot in the head and died at the scene. Durante Kavon James, also 22, was shot in the leg and taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where he was in stable condition late Sunday.

The gunfire followed reports of unrest - which police say could be gang-related - centered largely around the Charlotte Transit Center between 4th and Trade streets. The charges were one of the city's largest mass arrests in memory.

The trouble comes 15 months before Charlotte hosts the 2012 Democratic National Convention - which likely will ensure close scrutiny of what happened.
A perfect setting for Democrats to answer to out-of-work and riotous moochers.

Can't keep 'em quiet unless you feed 'em, Baracky, and give 'em jobs. That's the thing about a promise: you have to pretend at least to try to keep it. The 'Community Organized' are the neediest people in the world, and need constant attention and, you know, hands-on treatment. Setting up a few barricades and installing a million Law Enforcement Officers isn't going to work forever.

2012 in Charlotte. Should be quite the affair.

On Jon Huntsman

Jai singh | 15:18 | | | | Be the first to comment!
Jon Hunstman seems to be just another 'pragmatic', RINO, moderate Republican who embraces 'losing more slowly' to the socialist - leftist cancer machine that's destroying the fabric of this nation. Democrats have driven so very far-left; this guy would not even attempt to correct that error. Let's forget him and Romney very quickly, shall we? Moving right along...

Barack Hussein Obmama has 'community organized' an army of expectant moochers who will vote to his command, to stay on the drip-drip-drip of government dole; we have to present a polar opposite to negate BHO's siren call for a CHANGE to a Socialistic Republic, and Huntsman isn't man enough to do that. He has but a whimper of the strength that we'll need to save this Republic.

This video was created by Verum Serum, and we thank them for that. It's created ire and tut-tutting from the weak Republicans, as we expected.

The Republicans have no reason to even expect to still exist. Excepting for the energy and strength of the Tea Party, Republicans would still be wandering in the wilderness. If they choose Huntsman, or Romney, let the bastards wander. I will be done with them.

As if that mattered. It's close enough now that if we don't push back against BHO and his ilk, that this little Republic is finished.

Oath Keepers will muster at Tucson, Arizona, on Memorial Day, May 30

Swen...
"My dad attributed the problem — which has been long a building — to the difference in mentality between “peace officers” whose objective is to protect and serve the citizens and “law enforcement officers” whose objective is to keep the civilians in line. If a peace officer catches you staggering out of a bar he’ll give you a ride home — problem solved, you’re not a threat to the public. If a law enforcement officer catches you staggering out of a bar he’ll give you a ride downtown — problem solved, you’ll learn not to challenge their authoritah."

Who – Oath Keepers is calling for all veterans, National Guardsmen, active duty military, current-serving peace officers, firefighters, retired public servants, gun owners, veterans organizations, civic organizations, church groups, student groups, and other patriotic Americans.

Why – To stand with Oath Keepers at a memorial service for Jose Guerena, a war veteran who was killed by law-enforcement gunfire in his home on May 05, 2011. We wish to honor Jose Guerena’s service to this nation and ensure that his death lights the spark which shall lawfully undo present-day policies which militarize our local peace officers and violate our veterans’ and gun owners’ Fourth Amendment rights.
I'll be there in spirit.

Semper Fidelis, Jose Guerena.

Gotcha, Anthony Weiner (D, Smallsville) UPDATED

Jai singh | 08:24 | | | Be the first to comment!
Right 'cheer..Dan Collins' big Wiener Roast.

Seems this lying bastiche Democratic Representative (from NY 9) n00b Twitterer tried to Direct Message his honey a picture of his little sausage; instead, sent it out to the world. Now he's lying: "FACEBOOK WAS HACKED! EVERYTHING IS A LIE! I'M INNOCENT! (wanna see proof? I'll be glad to send you a picture!)".

NOTE: Objects in this Photoshop are MUCH LARGER than for-reals.

Catherine Zeta Jones demonstrates what to do with a properly-caught wiener: cook it unmercifully.

As Democrats have amply demonstrated, whenever they get a change.

UPDATE
Was Weiner's wiener hacked? Probably not...
So, what’s the truth of the story? Was Weiner “hacked?”

Probably not.

We know that because of how Weiner is behaving afterwards.

For example, we have a Congressman whose account has been hacked. He could quite properly get the FBI involved. If Anthony Weiner were to get the FBI involved, that would be an indication of innocence. Because you see, if the FBI gets involved, a conclusion would have to be reached. That conclusion would find its way out to the press. That would be bad news if Weiner sent the picture out himself. So far, he has not gotten the FBI involved.

Twitter could also answer whether Weiner’s account was hacked pretty definitively. They’ll have the IP addresses that accessed the account logged. They’ll also have records indicating if there were multiple attempts to crack the password. So, when that picture was sent — was it from an IP address that Weiner had used before? If it wasn’t, that would suggest Weiner’s account was hacked. Is Weiner calling for Twitter to review the records and release the results? No.

Also, a lot of information connected to this is being deleted. The Twitter account of the attractive young girl, who apparently already knew Weiner? It has been deleted. Her Facebook account? It has been deleted. The Yfrog account, which is another account the hacker would have had to have gotten into — that has been deleted as well. This comes across as people who are covering their own tracks, not people who are trying to catch a hacker.

Now is any of this definitive? Nope, but the evidence exists that can prove definitively whether Weiner was hacked or not. The FBI could certainly establish it. Twitter could do it as well. If Weiner doesn’t ask them to get involved and clear him, it will tell you everything you need to know about whether he was really hacked or not. ...

On Monday, let’s hope that the Congressman gets the FBI and Twitter involved. If he doesn’t, we’ll know why. If he does, then if there’s a hacker, hopefully they can track him down and throw the book at him for causing all this trouble for Weiner and Cordova.
Until Weiner gets busy and PROVES he's not the drunken fat-fingered n00b who screwed up and shot a Tweet AND a yfrog to a little candy girl, then he's on the spit.

Couldn't happen to a nicer sort, really.

Democrats are the Perfect Parasites: Sucking the Treasury Dry to Satisfy their Moocher Constituency

Jai singh | 06:36 | | | | Be the first to comment!
Even the New York Times realizes that the Democrats are FAILURES. Witness the headline...
Passive in the Senate  Published: May 28, 2011
The 112th Senate has become a body that largely reacts to outrageous things that Republicans do or say. Rather than coming up with original ideas and sensible policies to counter to the extreme ones pouring out of the House, it simply votes down House bills, or refuses to take them up. Democratic senators, fearful of last year’s Republican tide, may think that a play-it-safe strategy will save their jobs in next year’s election, but the country could pay a high price for their timidity. ...

But there will be no vote on a budget by the Democratic majority of the Senate, the traditional method for stating the majority’s priorities in black and white dollar signs. That’s because the Budget Committee has not agreed on one. And that’s because a good plan by the committee chairman, Kent Conrad of North Dakota, was deferred by Senate leaders, who feared that the plan’s tax increase on millionaires would make Democratic senators ripe targets for Tea Party attacks.

These political considerations should not be minimized. With only a three-vote majority, Democrats, led by Harry Reid, are understandably fearful about losing the Senate next year and have decided that treading water is better than taking a showy but risky dive.

But if Democrats are ever going to regain the momentum in the national conversation, they have to stand for something. Standing pat gives Republicans huge openings to move the debate to the right.

Democrats are Cowards. Dirty socialist Cowards. Senate Democrats have had no Budget proposal FOR TWO YEARS. Barack Obama's budget was one that seemed as if it were created by a child tapping away at an Excel spreadsheet; chock-full of pie-in-the-sky nonsense that didn't address the REAL consequences of his Democrat's unfunded social agendas.

Democrats have promised the world to their constituencies for votes; and are now too cowardly to address paying for their promised largess.

Cowards. All Democrats are cowards, and seemingly would rather wait for a fiscal bombshell crisis than address tough issues. Barack Obama, the titular leader of the Democratic Party, would rather promise his 'community organized' but stupid voting bloc free lunches, then dodge any sensible debate on curtailing the over spending. There is no way to pay for Democrat's desires.

It seems as if they have adapted the Cloward - Piven strategy: keep loading up the cart until it collapses under the weight of the load, then worry about the broken axle, or not; if the collapse is grave enough, they can reform the system to allow for their socialist desire to 'spread the wealth', or at least equalize the various peoples, with themselves ensconced at the top rung, of course. Just like the good old days in the Soviet Union, or in China today.

So, Paul Ryan, start hammering the Democrats to pay for their promises. Make 'em show us how they would pay for their vote-attracting lures set out to attract their unkept, unthinking moon-eyed voters who are fed with plates dished high with class envy.

Eat the rich. It's worked before, right?

Larry Flynt, 'Chester the Chicken Molester', serves out a well-deserved life of "Hell on Earth"

Jai singh | 20:58 | | | Be the first to comment!
My Gawd, what a monster this one is. Sad times, from the start of his life to today...
His father claimed Flynt's mother, Edie, as his wife-to-be when she was just 14. That must, I say, have been hard for her. "Ah," Flynt says, shrugging. "Not necessarily. Where I'm from, people got married very young. That wasn't a difficulty." Really? It didn't harm her to be sexualised and married off so young? "No. I don't think so. Not at all." His daughter, Tonya, says Flynt feels "great anger" towards his mother, who had a reputation in the town for sleeping around, and that he regarded her as "a whore". So I ask Flynt if he remembers when he first found out his mother – who worked three menial jobs, one after the other – was promiscuous. He looks vacantly, away from me, for such a long time that I think he might not have heard me. Then says: "I don't think when any child finds that out about his mother it's pleasant. It's disturbing. But you've got to go on. You've got to live with it."
...
He lost his own virginity at the age of nine, to a chicken. He describes penetrating its egg sack, and how "when I let the chicken go, it started towards the main house, staggering, squawking and bleeding" – so he immediately killed it. Did you feel bad for the chicken? "What? No. It was a" – long breath, gasp – "chicken."
...
Then, one morning in 1978, Flynt's ripple of legal victories was suddenly halted on the doorsteps of a courthouse in Georgia. He was walking into court when he heard a loud crack – and looked down to see "my intestines were spilling out of my body. The front of my stomach had been ripped off". He had 11 surgeries, removing six feet of his intestines. "It felt as though I had been disemboweled and hung on a meat hook in my grandpa's smokehouse," he says. Nobody was ever arrested, but eventually a white supremacist called Joseph Paul Franklin claimed he had done it because he was outraged by an interracial photoshoot in Hustler. Flynt says: "He killed about 25 people, but when he was asked by an interviewer if he regretted any of it, he said, 'Yeah. I hear Larry Flynt is a really nice guy. I shouldn't have shot him'."
...
The most serious (and most fiercely contested) charge against Flynt – politely ignored by the supposed liberals who queue up to champion him as an icon of freedom – is worse still. It is that he was a child molester. I decide to raise the topic sideways at first. I ask about a comic strip he ran in Hustler for 13 years, called "Chester The Molester". It featured an old man who, in each strip, would trick prepubescent or adolescent girls into pleasuring him. A typical cartoon shows a little girl in a hiked-up dress hurtling down a playground slide, while Chester the Molester is waiting at the bottom with his tongue hanging out. The man who drew the cartoon, Dwaine Tinsley, was convicted of raping his own daughter, Alison, and of forcing her to take birth control pills from her 13th birthday onwards. He served two years in prison – and Hustler continued to publish the cartoons drawn from his jail cell.

Flynt looks irritated. "Dwaine Tinsley was a genius," he says. "He was at one time in America in the Seventies and Eighties the most brilliant and recognised cartoonist in America... I liked him. He was an old country boy, you know." What would you say to his daughter about why you employed him? "He was released." Yes, on a technicality – not because he was innocent. "I never got involved in that because I never knew what the circumstances were so I don't really have a comment on them. It doesn't at all reconcile with the person I knew." Really? It seems jarring to you that a man who drew a cartoon lauding child molestation was actually a child molester? "I don't know. It may very well have happened. I wasn't involved." Doesn't that suggest a very casual attitude towards the rape of children? That you're not bothered by it? That you would publish a cartoon joking about child molestation by a child molester in his prison cell? "Wh-at? No. Paedophiliacs don't read Hustler. Hustler is an adult thing."
...
Larry Flynt in his gold-plated wheelchair,
in front of a Hustler Magazine dated October 1983
It's hard to keep him focused on this subject, or any subject. His conversation skids about.

He doubts Barack Obama would cheat on his wife because: "You ever looked at her? If he ever cheated on her she'd kick his ass. You know they may be black but they've got a very stable family."

Then he says, apropos of nothing: "Sarah Palin is the dumbest thing. But I made a fortune off of her. [He made a porn film called Nailin' Palin, based on her]... "She did a disservice to every woman in America. She knew from the first month of pregnancy that kid was going to be Down's Syndrome. It's brain dead. A virtual vegetable. She carries it to all these different political events against abortion, she did it just because she didn't want to say she'd had an abortion. How long is it going to live? Another 12, 15 years? Doesn't even know it's in this world. So what kind of compassionate conservative is she? I don't think anybody will want her near the White House."
So, after all is said and done, he's a typical Sarah Palin-hating liberal of the worst, LeftLibProgg, sort. Chicken fuckers, all of 'em.

I think Flynt is - was 'Chester the Chicken Molester', and his 'hell' has been served every day since that gunshot ripped him apart in 1978.

His life has been one celebratory of rape, and nothing good has come of it.

Want to watch Jose Guerena's murder by Sheriff Clarence Dupnik's SWAT team?

Jai singh | 10:02 | | | | Be the first to comment!

This makes me visibly ill. Another, albeit smaller, Janet Reno-style Waco raid, carried out by Pima Country partisan hack Sheriff Clarence Dupnik. The SWAT team fired 60 rounds into an Iraq war veteran, mistakenly thinking his home was a 'drug house'; a man who didn't even get off one shot; then left him unattended to die...
First, Mr. Guerena’s weapon, contrary to initial accounts by the SWAT team, was never taken off of safety.  The team took no shots from him.  Second, the team mills around for a while before breaching the home.  Third, they don’t form into a stack.  Fourth, absurdly, they knock and allow only four seconds for a response.  Fifth, one of the members falls in the doorway.  Sixth, upon shots being fired (by the SWAT team), more than one team member begins backing away from the incident.  Seventh, one of the team members who initially backed away moves forward to fire shots over the heads of other team members who are in the home (it’s a wonder that SWAT team members didn’t get shot by their own team).  All the while, several team members are standing aimlessly outside the home, doing nothing.  Then to top it all off, even though medical responders arrived within minutes, they weren’t allowed into the home for one hour and fourteen minutes.

The Sheriff may as well have sent the Keystone Cops to raid the home.  These clowns shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near weapons.

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik was quick to blame 'right-wing radio' and 'vitrolic' Tea Party elements for the Tucson shootings that left several dead, including a 9 year-old girl. Later, the responsible party, Jared Loughner, is deemed much too mad to stand trial (but he's allowed live on).

So, Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, it's time for you to face a recall election, at the very least. Pima County is THE far-left stronghold of Arizona; but even far-left citizens there should be able to deduce and possibly remove a rotten sheriff if it's pointed out to them.

Maybe.

Americans perceive that more Americans are teh ghey than are actually Gay. Why is that, you ask?

Jai singh | 08:51 | | Be the first to comment!
Gallup does the poll (see here) and has this analysis...
Americans perceive that there is a large U.S. gay population -- one far larger than is likely reality. Perhaps more informative than the exact figure Americans give is the trend that more Americans now than in 2002 feel they have enough information to offer an estimate. This suggests Americans have had even more exposure to gays and lesbians, be it in their personal lives or through entertainment or other means. It is also noteworthy that demographics appear in most cases to be more predictive of views in this matter than are political or ideological leanings.
More exposure? MORE EXPOSURE?? How about having it shoved down our collective throats by Hollyweird Media and the 'politically correct' lawmakers (Democrats, mostly) who legislate 'rights' for these sap-suckers? Even the U.S. Military has jumped on the "GAY? OK!" bandwagon. Stars like the Lady GarGoyle forcibly push the gay agenda onto their fan base.

Lady Gaga: Love Child of Howard Stern and an unpleasant deepwater fish
So, we see people perceiving that over 25% of Americans are gay, a ludicrous figure. Maybe the definition of 'gay' included people who act gay but aren't (most Democrats &c.), that's certainly possible.

A subset of the numbers by ideology: Democrats estimate 28% of Americans are gay; Independents, 25%, Republicans 20.2%. There you see the overwhelming acceptance, and encouragement to be gay given by Democrats, expressed in numbers.

Sigh. What a freakin' mess this nation is in.

One Nation: A bus tour to which that addled blonde Meghan McCain will never get invited.

Jai singh | 06:39 | | | | Be the first to comment!

Our nation is at a critical turning point. As we look to the future, we are propelled by America's past. It's imperative that we connect with our founders, our patriots, our challenges and victories to clearly see our way forward. A good way to do this is to appreciate the significance of our nation's historic sites, patriotic events and diverse cultures, which we'll do in the coming weeks on our "One Nation" tour.

We'll celebrate the good things that bring Americans together; those things that will give us the needed strength to meet the heady challenges ahead. I’ve said many times that America doesn’t need a "fundamental transformation," instead we need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free in America! So, together let’s prepare ourselves for the days ahead by reminding ourselves who we are and what Americans stand for.

We'll celebrate the meaning of our nation's blueprints, our Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, which are the threads that weave our past into the fabric necessary for the survival of American exceptionalism. Our founders declared "we were born the heirs of freedom", and despite our difficulties and disagreements, we remain one nation under God in freedom, indivisible. Through visits to historical sites and patriotic events, we'll share the importance of America's foundation.

We encourage you to support the pro-America events we'll be privileged to participate in during these coming weeks. Discover the ties that bind Americans, our history, our traditions, and the exceptional nature of our country!

(Purportedly) Sarah Palin's new Scottsdale home

Jai singh | 19:05 | | | | Be the first to comment!
Purportedly. But I like what I'm seeing.

And, beautiful. I lived some 20 miles from there, as the crow flies, in Phoenix proper. We had more Date Palms instead of the Saguaros, with canals running to supply the endless need for water.

That's recently reclaimed desert. Prolly less than 30 years ago that was a place you'd go and shoot up tin cans to your heart's content. Now, that spot of land and the fortress-home built on it sells for $1.695 million.

(You know how hard it is to get green grass like that to grow in the desert? Constant use of sprinklers or irrigation; I don't see signs of irrigation there. The pool is just a fiberglass liner thrown into a hole scooped out of the sand; it's a bit small, with no diving board. Looks to be set up for volleyball. Nice to keep that monster Saguaro intact as a centerpiece. Overall, a good looking spread; but I'd have wanted to be up nearer the Superstions and farther away from Phoenix proper.)

If she runs, fine; I'll fully support her. If she doesn't run, fine; but I'm guessing she will beat the living snot out of Obama (figuratively speaking of course), either way. That 'intellectual stammerer' is due for a good career-rocking scandal, any minute now.

We'll see. And we will enjoy every minute of it. ;D

Businesses Hiring Illegal Workers Beware: Arizona's "Business Death Penalty" Upheld: E-Verify or Else.

Jai singh | 03:37 | | | | Be the first to comment!
Finally, we get some common-sense progress on cutting off one of the two big attractions to illegal aliens who flood this nation. Upholding Arizona's E-Verify or Else helps staunch the attractant of a paycheck provided to illegals by businesses; the other attractant being 'the streets are lined with GOLD!' sentiment that stem from the free benefits provided by Democratic 'entitlement' programs.

The New York Times harrumphs...
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld an Arizona law that imposes harsh penalties on businesses that hire illegal immigrants.

The 5-to-3 decision appeared to endorse vigorous state efforts to punish employers who intentionally hire illegal workers. The majority opinion, written by Chief Justice John G. Roberts on behalf of the court’s five more conservative members, said that Colorado, Mississippi, Missouri, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia had recently enacted laws similar to the one at issue in the case.
Let's hope this is a clear signal that SB1070 is valid.

Good news for Arizona. Congrats! on your win.

Etiquette and protocol: obviously BHO knows as much about that as he does about preserving the Constitution.
Surely we have protocol officers who could have prepped him for this occasion.

Barack Obama won't release his grades from his college years; we're seeing mounting evidence as to why.

Dirty Socialist Kathy Hochul wins New York Congressional Seat

This proves exactly what I've noted and predicted. The far-left-shifted Democrats have openly embraced the tenets of socialism, offering 'free lunches' from the public coffers in return for votes. This Republic, as founded, is doomed. We will have the world's first Socialist Republic, with defacto-single-party ideological rule, and nothing standing in between the Citizen and what she feels is her due, owed to her from Others.

Bibi speaks to Congress

Jai singh | 17:42 | | | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Bibi didn't need no stinking rant, just wise words given to those who have the intelligence to listen...

The Jewish people are not foreign occupiers. We’re not the British in India, or the Belgians in the Congo. This is the land of our forefathers… no distortion of history will deny the 4000 year old bond between the Jewish people and the Jewish land.
So put that in your bong and smoke it, leftists~!

More from Bibi on the path Arab nations are (finally) taking, the path to Liberty...
Israel has always embraced this path, in the Middle East has long rejected it. In a region where women are stoned, gays are hanged, Christians are persecuted, Israel stands out. It is different.

As the great English writer George Eliot predicted over a century ago, that once established, the Jewish state will "shine like a bright star of freedom amid the despotisms of the East.” Well, she was right. We have a free press, independent courts, an open economy, rambunctious parliamentary debates. You think you guys are tough on one another in Congress? Come spend a day in the Knesset. Be my guest.

Courageous Arab protesters, are now struggling to secure these very same rights for their peoples, for their societies. We're proud that over one million Arab citizens of Israel have been enjoying these rights for decades. Of the 300 million Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, only Israel’s Arab citizens enjoy real democratic rights. I want you to stop for a second and think about that. Of those 300 million Arabs, less than one-half of one-percent are truly free, and they're all citizens of Israel! ...

So now here is the question. You have to ask it. If the benefits of peace with the Palestinians are so clear, why has peace eluded us? Because all six Israeli Prime Ministers since the signing of Oslo accords agreed to establish a Palestinian state. Myself included. So why has peace not been achieved? Because so far, the Palestinians have been unwilling to accept a Palestinian state, if it meant accepting a Jewish state alongside it.

You see, our conflict has never been about the establishment of a Palestinian state. It has always been about the existence of the Jewish state. This is what this conflict is about. In 1947, the United Nations voted to partition the land into a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Jews said yes. The Palestinians said no. In recent years, the Palestinians twice refused generous offers by Israeli Prime Ministers, to establish a Palestinian state on virtually all the territory won by Israel in the Six Day War.

They were simply unwilling to end the conflict. And I regret to say this: They continue to educate their children to hate. They continue to name public squares after terrorists. And worst of all, they continue to perpetuate the fantasy that Israel will one day be flooded by the descendants of Palestinian refugees.

My friends, this must come to an end. President Abbas must do what I have done. I stood before my people, and I told you it wasn’t easy for me, and I said… "I will accept a Palestinian state." It is time for President Abbas to stand before his people and say… "I will accept a Jewish state."

Those six words will change history.
All of that from simple notes on a pad, sans a fool's teleprompter.

(When Bibi's limo arrived, it didn't get stuck in a ditch or bottom out on a ramp, either!)

Hey, he's saying that Islam must yank a knot into those of their numbers who would take their peaceful religion and hijack it, use it to attract those who are and who would support psychopaths who fly planes into skyscrapers. A long-needed reform to make Islam less susceptible to furious Imams and ranting Ayatollahs who school young people to embrace suicide death missions. A novel idea, no?

Speak after me, Islamicists: "I will accept a Jewish state". Then, "We will root out those among us who hijack Islam for evil, wicked, mean and nasty purposes".

Make it so. Then, and only then, will there be peace in the Middle East.

So, "What's Up With Jews?"

Jai singh | 06:26 | | Be the first to comment!
Stanley Fish is the best writer still writing for the New York Times, unsurprisingly. Check out his latest column, one I find seemingly devoid of any 'intent-to-spin' (an admirable characteristic journalists everywhere should be forced to emulate). Excerpted...
So which is it? Jews are a success story, or Jews are a plague? Don’t mess with Jews, or blame Jews for everything in sight the moment you get drunk? Jews are victims (expulsions, pogroms, the Holocaust), or Jews are victimizers (rapacious bankers, shyster lawyers, land-grabbers and ethnic cleansers)? Jews are devils and sub-human vermin (a Nazi trope), or Jews are God’s chosen people?

The answer is all of the above and much more, for, as many before me have observed, the Jew as a cultural/ historical figure is oversaturated, which means that the meanings that accrue to him (or her, but mostly him) are in excess of any empirical record and accumulate like barnacles without any regard for the law of contradiction. Attitudes, especially negative ones, toward Jews flourish whether there are Jews around or not. Anti-Semitism survives in Poland even though most of its Jews have either fled or been killed. There is anti-Semitism in China, but few actual Jews.
Read the rest, if not for the content then for the superb writing skills Fish displays.

Oh, this...
So you can have the fierce barbaric Jew (Israel as the atom-bomb wielding destroyer of Arab armies, at least in 1967) and the insidiously bland Jew, the obsequious figure who, while no one’s looking, takes control of everything. That means that whatever a Jew does there are a number of pre-packaged, and often mutually exclusive, narratives in which to place him, and, by and large, they are not positive ones.
I find the narrative of the 'fierce' Jew more palatable than that other, personally. It's a tough world out there; when you're stuffed between the sea and a mob of near-beasts (yes, I said it! BEASTS! strap on some more bombs and shoot off some more unguided rockets, Palis, you've earned that qualifier from me!) you must have a brilliant , tough finish. I've great respect for Israel, Israelis, and their resilience. And, fierceness.

Mmmmmm...fierce....

Dozens are dead and even more injured after nearly 50 tornadoes tore though parts of the Midwest on Sunday.

At least 89 people were killed in Joplin, Mo., which received the worst of the severe weather.

If the death toll in Joplin reaches 115, it will be in the top 10 deadliest tornadoes in all time, none of which have occurred since 1953 according to the Storm Prediction Center.

American Power: Dr. Charli Carpenter and the Laws of War

American Power: Dr. Charli Carpenter and the Laws of War

She's back! at the request of Dr. Donald Douglas, I arranged a cameo of our little CGI charmer.

This pshop seems a natural fit to Charli, on several levels. Charli Carpenter is, among other things, one of the bloggers at Lawyers, Guns and Money, a far-left-leaning site (check out their blogroll: KOS, Eschaton, all the crap holes these slime buckets hold dear). Read at the link to American Power what Charli wants to happen. And would allow to happen, if she and her pack of doggerel-writing leftist mutts had their way. It would be as if her hand were on the triggering device, destroying Israel.

Of course Charli would support 'Palestine' over Israel. She's of the Left; they are swarming now to protect BHO and the pack of lies he made in his speech at AIPAC, trying desperately to save face after Bibi schooled him in the White House on Friday.

Why should we care about Israel, you ask? Well, they are our ally, our only true friend in the region. And we’ve always stood with Israel. It’s a good thing that we’ve done so. It’s what we do. It’s who we are.

Or, were, until the far-left Democrats came along undermining and knocking down our basic American goodnesses.

Oklahoma Senator Inhofe gave a speech in 2002 outlining 7 reasons Israel should keep her land. The speech, here, is a jumble; I’ve rearranged and picked out the seven points he’s clumsily making...
Showing restraint and giving in has not produced any kind of peace. It is so much so that today the leftist peace movement in Israel does not exist because the people feel they were deceived.

They did offer a hand of peace, and it was not taken. That is why the politics of Israel have changed drastically over the past 12 months. The Israelis have come to see that, “No matter what we do, these people do not want to deal with us. They want to destroy us.” That is why even yet today the stationery of the PLO still has upon it the map of the entire state of Israel, not just the tiny little part they call the West Bank that they want. They want it all.

We have to get out of this mind set that somehow you can buy peace in the Middle East by giving little plots of land. It has not worked before when it has been offered.

These seven reasons show why Israel is entitled to that land.

The first reason is that Israel has the right to the land because of all of the archeological evidence.

The second proof of Israel’s right to the land is the historic right.

The third reason that land belongs to Israel is the practical value of the Israelis being there. Israel today is a modern marvel of agriculture.

The fourth reason I believe Israel has the right to the land is on the grounds of humanitarian concern.

The fifth reason Israel ought to have their land is that she is a strategic ally of the United States.

The sixth reason is that Israel is a roadblock to terrorism.

No. 7, I believe very strongly that we ought to support Israel; that it has a right to the land. This is the most important reason: Because God said so.
There’s some overlap. Well, he’s a Senator, speaking sans teleprompter, so there you have it.

Inhofe is a Good Man. Why isn't he running for President?

Socialist Party failing in Spain.

Jai singh | 04:08 | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
This is not looking good for Barack Obama: Socialists are losing ground in Germany, Great Britain, Canada and now Spain. It seems incumbents everywhere are going down, as populations become stirred against whoever is in charge. Luckily for us, it seems the politics of socialism is taking a beating...

It's Official: Ruling Spanish Socialist Party Is Getting Trounced In Regional Elections

Continuing the gigantic, anti-incumbency wave that's sweeping the globe, Spain's ruling socialist party is getting trounced across the country in municipal elections.

Early results show the conservative People's Party garnering 35% of votes vs. 28% for the socialists.

The election comes amid economic woe, and a shocking rise of youth protests in Madrid that have turned it into the new Tahrir Square.

Rising political anger -- combined with the fact that new elections will probably reveal untolds more in debt than had previously been reported -- have sent Spanish bond yields soaring again, just as Greece looks like it's about to crack up the eurozone all over again.

The incredible failure of incumbent governments has been on display everywhere from Democrats in 2010, to Finnish rulers this year, and even a shockingly weak result for the ruling party in Singapore just recently.
What does that mean for the U.S. in 2012? It's much too early for even the most weak-minded of Democrats to bask in BHO's polls (but some will, their minds being crumbly like decade-old Swiss cheese). With his slick tongue and propensity to feed other people's monies to low-count moochers for their votes, we can never rule out BHO's re-election by a large swath of our current generations of self-centered ME-FIRST, gratification-oriented soft-tail Americans.

Speaking of soft-tail, Mitch Daniels dropped out of the running for the Republican nomination. Herman Cain is in; and likely to stir up the RACISTS! in the Democratic Party who can't stand seeing a black or brown man or woman existing off of their ideological plantations.

Maybe we'll get to see Sarah Palin run after all. She is the Anti-Obama, and the only one who can upset the Democrats to such a degree as she is wont to do; therefore, she is a Good Person and has my support.

Oh, this video is a bit of hilarity; the Saturday Night Live spoofery of Dominique Strauss-Kahn ensconced in the prison on Riker's Island, with a couple of 'brothers' who carry on a conversation...just watch and enjoy!

And from Stuef's farewell post.

Here's what I do for far-Left Lobsterpot Bimbos who put my comments in moderation.

Jai singh | 09:53 | | Be the first to comment!
I post the comment here. See how that works?

This guy, posting at "Under the Lobsterpot Bimbo Scope" and linked by that United Nations anti-gun loon Mikeb302000 (the little fellow who is actually a UN employee, living in Rome, working as an agent provocateur for that anti-American anti-Israel anti-Gun organization) posts a rant about AGW and 'creationism', and Conservatives in Louisiana who are telling all these left-leaning fucks to shut up, sit down and stop trying to cram their beliefs down other people's throats.

Here's the comment...

I could allow myself to be angry at the audacity of far-left neo-Marxists (like yourself) for trying to enforce their personal beliefs in man-made Global Warming, and for conflating the origins and purposes of life with the study of the mechanics of the theory of evolution over all other studies, and for pushing that same far-left ideology without even wanting to allow any other thought or research (the SCIENCE is SETTLED!).

Evolution is a proven, measurable fact, on a small scale. Evolution does NOT, nor can it ever, explain the origin of life, the spark that set in motion the rest of the process that allows us to thrive on a planet so well-situated in orbit that the triple-point of water can occur naturally. Just a little further out or in this orbit, and no carbon-based life on this planet. Nice of one to think of us, eh?

And, the millions of years of oil-pool formation, prior to humans actually becoming smart enough to use it. Nice placement, no?

Explain the evolutionary necessity of caterpillars moving into a pupal stage, then to butterflies. There's no need for it; how does that happen randomly? And, cicadas. Go outside and listen to the sound of the failure of evolutionary theory to explain what you're hearing.

And you have a soul, whether you want to accept it or not. Your soul is a piece of something else; whether that be a God that's written of in human hand or not, your quest was to know that and use it for good.

So, little man, know this: you've no right to be angry at anyone but yourself, because you've no control over anyone but yourself. Certainly not of me.

Oh, and the moving camels blow goats. FWIW.

The 'moving camels' being the backdrop of his website, and frankly, unsettling, annoying, and of little redeeming use or value.

I prefer horses, really.

Minnesota's public-sector unions fight for a tax increase. Screw you, Taxpayers, we want OURS NOW!

Jai singh | 07:27 | | | | Be the first to comment!
This is exemplar of why, you see, these public-sector unions are bad, bad news and should never have been allowed to exist. Here we have a State, Minnesota, unable to balance it's budget; these union thugs want merit raises come hell or high water, no matter what is going on around them: unemployment, people raking in seemingly never-ending unemployment benefits and other public largess (welfare and food stamps), paid for with mostly borrowed funds. But we're gonna get our merit increases, Minnesota, no matter if it is stolen in the form of tax increases on ALL citizens, as proposed by the Democratic governor, Mark (Union Endorsed!) Dayton.

From Labor Union Report...
The state's largest public employees union is starting to prepare its nearly 20,000 employees for a government shutdown. "We are telling them they need to prepare for the possibility that they may go for some period of time without a paycheck," said Eliot Seide, executive director of AFSCME Council 5. The union gave Gov. Mark Dayton his first campaign endorsement. Seide said members are fully behind Dayton's tax increase proposal. He said he hopes the meltdown at the Capitol doesn't lead to a shutdown in July.

Seide said union workers will not be "pawns in a game to try to defeat the governor's proposals. Our people are too smart for that."

For public workers, the possibility of shutdown will become very real if there is no budget deal by June 8, when layoff notices would go out to employees.

The public employees union is also planning to rally at the Capitol on Monday night -- the last night of the regular legislative session -- to try to convince Republican lawmakers to get their job done. "We do our jobs. ... Now we are going to see if the legislators are going to get their jobs done," he said.
Their jobs, asshole, are to balance the state's budget in very hard times, and to represent ALL of the citizens of Minnesota, not just the loud, mouthy, 'Community Organized' Unionists who think they are better than 'average' citizens, so much so that they can DEMAND taxes be taken from other citizens so they can have their merit raises without interruption.

Lazy-Ass Unionist can't comprehend his own damned sign.
Again, let's see these public-sector unions broken, torn down. They've no 'evil CORPORATION!' to fight against; only their fellow citizens who are taxpayers, who don't deserve to be held up by threats from low-down union thugs.

Imogene Thomas, Ryan Giggs and (HARRUMPH!) LORD JUDGE'S GAGGING ORDER

Jai singh | 17:59 | | | Be the first to comment!
This is something what made me smile. Remember, this is my blog; what makes me smile makes me want to...post.

Hilarity of the Week

Quick synopsis: retired superstar 'footballer' Ryan Giggs, winningest and most famous 'footballer' in Soccer History (if you care about that gay-assed stuff), married with children, chock-full of endorsements (think Tiger Woods without the club) gets a 'secret' 'superinjunction' against 'British newspapers and social media', now! complete with lawsuits, naming Twitter of all parties, to keep his sordid shaggilicious affair with wicked supermodel Imogene Thomas (NOT related to Helen Thomas, obviously) secret, so he can stay married (and keep that endorsement cash flowing).

That sordid affair with Imogene Thomas is mentioned in Ryan Giggs' Wiki page, so there's your 'secret' out the window, Ryan. Everyone on the planet now knows Ryan Giggs shagged Imogene Thomas.

To add even more to the hilarity, "Lord Judge" (seriously!) says it's time to Regulate the Internets...
Earlier Lord Judge – welcoming a juridical report on superinjunctions – said readers placed greater trust in the content of traditional media than those "who peddle lies" on websites.

He urged that ways be found to curtail the "misuse of modern technology", in the same way that those involved with online child pornography were pursued by the police.

"Are you really going to say that someone who has a true claim for protection perfectly well made has to be at the mercy of modern technology?" he asked.

The lawsuit lists the defendants as "Twitter Inc and persons unknown".

The "persons unknown" are described as those "responsible for the publication of information on the Twitter accounts".
I needed a laugh.

And some of that Imogene lass, but I'll settle for the laugh. ;)

Bibi Schools O'Bambi. That is all.

Bibi Schooling Bambi: Slapdown Edition
No matter what you hear from the Lamestream Media, that bottom line is that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took shallow, unaware 'Community Organizer' Barack Hussein Obama to school on the reality of Israel, and told hm in no uncertain terms What Will Happen and What Won't Happen.
Sitting at Mr. Obama’s side in the Oval Office, leaning toward him and at times looking him directly in the eye, the Israeli leader bluntly rejected compromises of the sort Mr. Obama outlined the day before in hopes of reviving a moribund peace process. Mr. Obama, who had sought to emphasize Israel’s concerns in his remarks moments earlier, stared back impassively.

In his remarks, delivered after a meeting that stretched far longer than scheduled, Mr. Netanyahu warned against “a peace based on illusions,” seemingly leaving the prospect for new talks as remote as they have been since the last major American push for speech collapsed last fall.

Most significant among his public objections, Mr. Netanyahu said that Israel would not accept a return to the boundaries that existed before the war in 1967 gave it control of the West Bank and Gaza, calling them indefensible. ...

“Remember that before 1967, Israel was all of nine miles wide; it’s half the width of the Washington Beltway,” Mr. Netanyahu said. He was referring to the narrowest point between the West Bank and the Mediterranean Sea, north of Tel Aviv, while displaying a well-honed familiarity with American cultural references to make his point for an American audience. “These were not the boundaries of peace. They were the boundaries of repeated wars.”
And this, on the prospect of 'Palestinian return' to the Israeli homeland...
Mr. Netanyahu characterized Hamas as “the Palestinian version of Al Qaeda” and flatly refused to hold any talks with the Palestinians if they were included. He also emphasized that Israel would not accept the return of Palestinian refugees to Israeli soil, an issue Mr. Obama had suggested should be deferred while the two sides worked on borders and security issues. “Everybody knows it’s not going to happen,” Mr. Netanyahu said. “And I think it’s time to tell the Palestinians forthrightly, it’s not going to happen.”
Good for you, Bibi; it's about time BHO learned exactly how and what a Good Man does and says.
UPDATE! Jeffery Goldberg whined about Bibi's remarks yesterday, before he even met face-to-face with (and spanked) BHO. I wonder how he's feeling today?

Mark Levin certainly nailed Goldberg...

Dear Mr. Nobody, your post is pathetic

Obama is a bully. Whether oil company execs, GM execs, those who oppose him on Obamacare or cap-and-trade, whether his NLRB or his Justice Department, the Obama administration's thuggish behavior has been felt far and wide, including by American citizens. It's about time someone stood up to the bully Obama and his administration of thugs. Too bad it had to be Israel's prime minister, but somebody needed to. Deal with it. More to come, I hope.
You got your wish, Mark.

Don't fuck with Israel. Not even Chicagoland power brokers can hold a candle.

Barack Obama panders to Muslims, terrorists; unsettles Bibi

Jai singh | 05:47 | | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Here we go. As was predicted even before Barack Hussein Obama was 'promoted' from junior Illinois Senator (not even completing his first term!) to President, he has turned his back on our only real and trusted ally in the Middle East and embraced HAMAS, a terrorist organization. Who knew?

Now, Benjamin Netanyahu is meeting today with our illustrious 'leader', trying to understand why he desires to leave Israel in a state of defenselessness (taking away the high ground, the Golan Heights, is NOT a militarily sound way to defend the nation of Israel)...
U.S. President Barack Obama's endorsement of a longstanding Palestinian demand on the borders of their future state sets the stage for what could be a tense meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday.

Netanyahu, who has had strained relations with Obama, headed for Washington saying the president's vision of a Palestinian state on the borders of 1967 -- as part of his vision for an elusive U.S.-brokered peace deal -- could leave Israel "indefensible."

The White House talks had never been expected to yield any significant progress to revive long-stalled peace talks, but now that prospect seemed dimmer than ever.

Obama, in a policy speech on Thursday on the "Arab spring" uprisings across the Middle East, laid down his clearest markers yet on the compromises Israel and the Palestinians must make for resolving their decades-old conflict.

His position essentially embraces the Palestinian view that the state they seek in the West Bank and Gaza should largely be drawn along the lines that existed before the 1967 war in which Israel captured those territories and East Jerusalem.

On the eve of Netanyahu's visit, it was seen as a message that Obama expects Israel to eventually make big concessions.

"The viability of a Palestinian state cannot come at the expense of Israel's existence," Netanyahu said in a statement before flying to the United States for his talks with Obama.
Personally, I stand with Israel, and against Barack Hussein Obama's desire to diminish the Israeli state in favor of a crowd of terrorists.

Look at a map. You see "Jordan", "Syria", "Egypt"? There's your Palestine. Deal. If 'Palestinians' had not been such a blood-thirsty bunch of suicide bombers and rocketeers, Israel might want to give some ground. But with the history of Muslims being violence and destruction, and proclaimed hatred for the Jewish State, who can blame those who want to maintain the high ground?

Oh, you can bet Barack won brownie points with Muslims. I'll bet they are dancing in the streets...

Pie Town, New Mexico

Jai singh | 06:48 | | Be the first to comment!
A couple of color photos from the Library of Congress (h/t dailymail.co.uk)...

...left me wondering 'What is this "Pie Town" of which you speak'?

It does exist, on the continental divide in western -central New Mexico...
HISTORY
In Americas great southwest, on the Continental Divide, Pie Town New Mexico is in west central New Mexico.

There lots of stories of how Pie Town got its name. This one is my favorite.

In the early 1920's Mr.Clyde Norman a tall Texan and a WW1 veteran who "liked to bake" began making dried apple pies and began making them at his at his upstart business on a piece of ground that lay along a little rocky ridge and the "Coast to Coast Highway" later to become U.S. 60. The word got around that the best pies anywhere were to be found at "Pie Town".

Pie Town has been featured in various television programs and national publications, such as the February 2005 Smithsonian Magazine

A scenic 160 miles Southwest of Albuquerque, but far enough away to find peace and quiet in an increasingly, noisy and fast paced world, Pie Town on U.S. Hwy 60 is visited by a myriad of travelers seeking a more relaxed route as well as hikers and bicyclist's from around the world traveling the Continental Divide Trail from Mexico to Canada.

At nearly 8000' above sea level this western town has a Post Office, a ELVA (Very Large Array radio telescope),and "Lester Jackson Park" which hosts the Annual Pie Town Festival on the second Saturday in September.
And they even have a blog.

More Pie, please~!
