One of the 20 ringleaders who ignored the pedestrian walkway and marched right onto the vehicle-only pavements, in the face of police with bullhorns explaining that they couldn't do that and that they would be subject to arrest, said "Take the Bridge". I can envision some shirtless guy with a big Red Star tattooed to his back (for 'Anarchist', or 'Asshole', take your pick), a real pied piper to punks, leading these stupidish morons right to their fates.

Note the sign: "Live simply so other can simply live" What does that mean, exactly? Should we not have things that cost over a dollar at the store, so simple people can feel better about themselves?
So, this Anonymous Anarchist who is also an Asshole led hundreds of other anarchists and Anonymous PC virus-wranglers, and washed-up, burned-out, unemployable New York underclass riffraff, rats and hippies to the center of the bridge, where they were promptly and politely arrested, given rides to various Manhattan precincts and released after being issued summonses. Just another day for some; better than some for others, as one released worthy was heard to proclaim after release "This is better than prison!".
"This is better than prison!" ? Just who are these people the Democrats hope will help them get Barack Obama re-elected? Do even Democrats want to associate with stupid this thick? (Well, they are a 'community', albeit one that needs collective baths, and given 'communities' can be 'organized' to 'vote', if given the right 'stimulus', then sure! Democrats will find a way to corral these wretched woebegones and get them from the Police Precinct to the Voting Precinct I suppose...).
